NHL Season 2018-19

Same. It reminds me of those seasons where the Pats keep winning. It's not always good for the team.

I want a healthy Pastrnak and a decent d-corps. I can already tell Grzelcyk is out for the duration.

Turns out Grzelcyk didn't break anything, so he may be back before the playoffs start. It looked bad, I thought for sure it was something more.

Sigh...

Lucky enough to get the Pens-Caps game tonight....a really good one. Two things strike me though....First, Pittsburgh should be penalized at least 1 goal every time they wear those gawdawful shirts, no excuse for that, they have a few really nice unis, especially the old double blues. Second, McDavid is a great hockey player, but Sid is still the best there is.

It is weird to be happy about the Bruins losing but I think they can win this year due to circumstance in addition to everything else. The overcoming of major injuries, the points streak, their comebacks, etc... Now if they can struggle for a couple of weeks and then get hot going into the playoffs I think they have that kind of season a team has when it wins it all...But I'm a fan so I'm also completely delusional.

Alright, so it isn't just me. That yellow is terrible.

The Pens take down another leader in the east on a winning streak. In the process, they took three of four from Washington this season. Hopefully the Pens dominance of the Caps continues into the playoffs like it always has, minus that anomaly last season.
Murray gave up that goal (the power play goal) to Carlson camped out down low, but that was a sweet save on Ovechkin moments earlier.
That steal by McCann of Kunetsov which led to another goal from the finisher (Guentzel) was sweet.

I love the attempted reverse psychology from Bruin fans. Yeah, it's great alright you're losing as the playoffs are about to start. Those winning streaks and whatnot, just a bunch of nothing. Losing is better. :D

Ideally a losing streak would have happened a couple of weeks ago, it is a bit close now. But I'm a fan and am by definition delusional and all my ideas are based on fantasy:)

Pens' yellow jerseys: I can take 'em or leave 'em. But Preds fan have to put up with their ugly yellow jerserys every night! :D

Said it before and I'll say it again...that Florida trade is turning into one of JR's best sleeper deals. Being a Cats fan, I knew what Bjugstad brought to the table, and he hasn't disappointed. But I knew nothing about McCann, but have been extremely pleasantly surprised with his play. Loved his 140' empty netter. (Would have been neat if Sid were able to duplicate it but his got blocked.)

**************

In unrelated news, the Yotes rebounded nicely from that Chicago blowout and downed the Blues to slip into the second wild card spot. No superstars here but a whole roster of lunch pail guys who know their roles, and are getting it done without much fanfare. Props to Coach Tocchet...this team has had a LOT of injuries and call-ups this season, but here they are, a-knocking on the playoff door!

I like the gold jerseys. I liked the blue unis but they seemed like bad luck and now bring back a lot of bad memories.

I missed another Tuesday game due to practice, but Im just relieved about how they have been playing lately.
