I obviously prefer and expect the Bruins to win it, but if they don't, the Blues will be deserving champs.
Bs got outplayed. Somehow they were the only ones who didn't know the Blues were gonna come out strong.
Best of three series now. I can live with that. I would have have pretty disappointed if it only went five games. Somebody finally told the Blues that they're in the finals now. It was nice to see Binnington bounce back. If he can play the rest of the way at his top form I think the Blues have a shot at it.
While I do have a preference*, I just wanna see a good series. And, with the exception of Saturday nights game-which I missed due to a gig, it's been pretty good hockey(so-so reffing). Hoping for more.

Someone should tell Chara that you either block the shot with a well padded part of your body or deflect the shot off to the side with you stick. But whatever you do, don't deflect the puck with your stick into your own face.
Seriously, though, Chara is a hell of a skilled player and it's always a risk putting your body on the line of fire of a 90+ mph slapshot. He's got guts and also my respect because he's right back out there playing with a bunch of stiches in his mouth (and a full face shield). Really tough customer, but then, this is for the Stanley Cup, after all.

He didn't play at all in the 3rd (or 2nd really). He sat on the bench in the shield. Sounds like a broken jaw.
Also looks like Bergeron is playing significantly hurt; hope its not another punctured lung.
I agree that they were outplayed, but they knew the Blues were going to come hard. The difference was that the Blues seemed more focused on scoring and preventing goals than hitting for hitting's sake. Blues stopped taking bad penalties which was key. B's will need to adjust as relying on the Blues to self-destruct is not working anymore.
Serious question - Did the Blues make adjustments or was game 4 more representative of how the Blues played this year?
I haven't watched a ton of blues games, but I have to believe they made this far by playing like game 4 Blues and not game 3 blues.
It's my understanding that they were in last place in january when they made the switch to Binnington, so I think they made most of their major adjustments in the regular season.

I wish Colorado still did tooI wish we still had O'Reilly, but it looks like he's doing OK where he is.
Hard to bag on StL too much for the penalties. They only gave Boston 4 PPs in game three. What killed them was the 4/4.
Most coaches will take only giving 4 PPs if your team still controls the tempo
Couple days off. Curious to see if Boston can get healthy. I do believe it's St Louis' series to win or lose at this point though

True. But that's not why they lost the game. They lost because they couldn't pot more than one shot in sixty minutes.
