Yeah, Kazakhstan actually. They were in the Soviet Union. I guess that's like saying Canadians are Americans because they're in North America.
I've thought all along, that he was playing better than Ben Bishop, who is supposed to be our top goalie.
He was backup here, to Kari Lehtinen before that. So, I'm glad he's getting his chance.
Whatever. The point being our goalie is Russian. I've often wondered, do the Russian(generic)players chirp at each other in Russian or English?

They chirp in both languages from what I've seen. All players like to show they can use new insults in different languages. I sometimes curse in Finnish. You can get away with it in public and no one knows what you are saying. Not in Texas, anyway.

TampaBay was the far better team tonight.
The referees overlooked quite a few penalties done by TB, but I'm not sure it would have helped Dallas, even if they had been called.

Some of their calls/non calls were...uh...interesting(?).For myself, I woulda preferred Dallas not get the second goal. That woulda given Stammer the GWG.
Without a horse in this race, and although I am pulling for Dallas I won't be terribly upset if TB were to win. But I do hope the Stars can regroup and go back to doing what they did to get them to the Final. Right now it looks like the Lightning are primed for a backdoor sweep.

With Florida as one of the other teams I follow, I was familiar with Matheson and his skating ability and skill set. IMO a big upgrade over Justin Schultz. However giving up a heart-and-soul leader from a team that is strongly lacking heart-and-soul leadership may be too big of a price to pay. On the other hand, we're shipping out a 33-yr-old banged up guy for a 26-yr-old puck-moving D-man, which don't exactly grow on trees. (But we already have Letang and Marino. 
) Sceviour could play the role vacated by Hornqvist, but likely will be a throw-in for the next deal Rutherford makes.
One of those deals where you gotta give up an asset to get an asset. On the fence but leaning toward reluctantly liking this deal.
