^^ Ha ha! Very true. Still trying to figure out who's wearing which jersey number on the Flyers...

Yeah, but Fleury's d-men were as much to blame on most of the four he let in.Sheesh Pens, no love for your former goalie who was a key piece of your glory years.

Danton Heinen...had heard of him before but couldn't tell you a thing about him. Now he's on pace to score 82 goals this season!![]()
Yeah, the goalie is s'posed to be the best defender-not the only. The blackhawks defense is terrible. Fleury is going to be facing a lot of high quality shots this year.

I'm with you, Paul. To me it was much more interesting to see all the various colors of the visiting teams. To this day I think it was a big mistake to change it. But then again, I AM a dinosaur! I still wish they'd go back to 1 versus 16, 2 vs. 15, etc. for the playoffs. Divisions and Conferences be damned! We see enough of those teams during the regular season.@Jeff K yeah I kinda like the Kraken uniforms from what I've seen. They play Jersey tomorrow so I will get a good look. All these years and I still am not used to home teams wearing dark colors now haha
Stop whining! Your Pens are on fire...Friggin Kraken! Why can't you beat the friggin Flyers?
-Mike
I like the 1 vs. 16 concept as well, but it can only work if there is a balanced schedule in place. As well as increasing travel and associated costs, it would not work with 31 teams....but now....maybe!I'm with you, Paul. I wanted that too....stupid Leafs....@GoLeafsGo, your boys let me down last night! I wanted them to beat the Rangers.
Completely agree with the jersey change...been 18 years (2003) and I'm still not used to it. Seeing Montreal, Toronto, Chicago...any of the original six in their classic dark jerseys was memorable. I still vividly remember seeing the late 70s Canadiens play in Pittsburgh...Lafleur, Lapointe, Savard, Cournoyer...such a mystique about those unis.I'm with you, Paul. Same here when they'd play the Flyers. What a team Montreal had! And yes, those jerseys were iconic.Completely agree with the jersey change...been 18 years (2003) and I'm still not used to it. And 1000% agree with seeing the same teams way too often! Sometime it seems like the Pens play the Islanders 20 times per season!
That is interesting...wasn't aware of the streak. When I first got into the sport in the mid-70s, the Pens were a decent team for a year or two, then hit rock-bottom for a few years. From the late 70s through the mid 80s, they couldn't even give away tickets. The only positive of being so bad was that it allowed them to draft a skinny kid name Lemieux...On Feb. 14, 2007 a sold out crowd attended a game at the Igloo to watch the Penguins defeat the Blackhawks. That started a streak of 633 consecutive sellouts of home games.
Interestingly, that streak came to an end against the Blackhawks as well this past Saturday night, October 16, 2021. The next game on Tuesday, the 19th against Dallas, was not a sellout and the streak came to an end.
Impressive run for the Pens, but the sellout streak falls victim to the pandemic and maybe other factors.

With Kucherov out long-term, I was thinking the Bolts might be a fit, but then realized there aren't enough pucks for both Stamkos and Kessel to shoot all game long.Any takers for Kessel?
