NHL Season 2022-23

Arizona. Still shocked by how many Red Wing, Blackhawk, and Penguin fans fill the arena every time those teams play here in the desert. Easily more than 50% were cheering the visitors. And that was true even back when the Yotes had a decent product on the ice with real NHL'ers.

Understandable, as Phoenix is a melting pot destination from people leaving colder cities, but you'd think that as the Coyotes are on their second generation of natural-born fans that would diminish, but so far, not for those teams I mentioned.

The LETS GO PENS chant at the Mullet the other night was embarrassing. Or should have been. LOL.

Saturday night, the Seattle Kraken pull off something never before done in the NHL, sweep a seven game road trip. This road trip was no pushover since it included something that hadn't been done yet this season, beat the Bruins in Boston in regulation. Now the Bruins are a mere 20-1-3 in the Garden. :)

Seattle played well that night. The Bruins were able to beat a very good and spirited Leafs team last night. Both goalies made insane saves - the final could have been twice the actual score of 4-3.
Pretty good tilt last night. Leafs just has too many giveaways. They have played two tight games this season, home team winning by 1 goal in each one....might make an interesting playoff series...if the Leafs can figure out how to not lose another first round series....

Kris Letang returns to the lineup after injury and losing his father. Tallies 2G & 2A, including the game-winner in OT as the Pens best the Panthers, 7-6.

One of the most entertaining games I've seen in a while, with numerous lead changes. Makes me miss those Oiler teams from the 80s!

I'm going to the Kings-Panthers game tomorrow night. It turns out one of my son's buddies is a Kings fan due to going to a ton of games of their former AHL team in Manchester NH. We were able to get pretty good seats in the lower bowl for $40ish.

Saw an interesting article on ticket prices a while ago...it is cheaper for 2 people to book a cheap flight from Toronto/Hamilton to Fla. and get a hotel room and game tickets than it is to get 2 lower area tickets to a Leaf game in Toronto....
