Noble Amps Preamp

Noble%20and%20Showman_zpseyvhyv7q.jpg

I use the Showman at home, but I have done some comparisons... definitely a 'family' resemblance, but so much and cleaner and full.

Curious...did you keep the REDDI, and how did they compare?

Hi Dave,

I took that picture at a church where I play about every four to six weeks. Every time I go, I plug with my Noble and leave the Reddi on the bottom unplugged. The Reddi is awesome, but comparing it to the Noble is comparing apples to cantaloupes. You can't tweak the Reddi. The Noble is infinitely flexible. The Reddi isn't mine, but I wouldn't keep it if I had both. And the only reason I'm selling the Noble is to upgrade my instrument.

My friend passed me #64 shortly after I sold #124. This one needs to go as well. It has NOS Tubes.

It's in the classifieds, or you can PM me for more info. If you're interested, don't stall. Someone will buy it quick, probably within a few hours.

Awesome Rob. How do you like it? The packaging was amazing wasn't it? Huh. Someone's gotta pat me on the back. Might as well be me haha.

I hope you enjoy your new Noble! I'm happy for you!

I have one more Noble Preamp still available. #64 newer version with NOS tubes. PM me if interested.

Yep! My actual words were "holy crap this thing is packaged awesome!"
With the about 30 minutes that I got to mess with it, I think I may not need a compressor any more. I can hear what everyone has said happens due to the tubes natural compression.
With my P, and J, it sounds well.... I can't really describe it yet. I'm still in awe!
It's so warm and cushy, for lack of better terminology.
So far I like the volume around 2-3oclock
Bass.. 10-11, Treble... Noon, Cut engaged

I've always had to pull back the tone knob on my bass to cut back on the brittle, harsh highs... Didn't have to with the Noble. The Highs just sang like I always thought they should.

Obviously I'm still getting my feet wet, this is just first thoughts, but I'm thinking it'll only get better.

Also, we're finally in a position to have a band again at church... Can't wait to utilize the DI!!
Happy camper.

It's on my list, but my cash flow is beyond low. I want one so bad right now.

When you get a chance send or post a clip to hear what your jazz bass sounds like through the Noble.

Ran my Noble through the power section of a Genzler Magellan amp. Wow, I like the tone better than my Demeter Minnie I've been using. It was warmer and, to my ear, I could hear the the articulation better. Let me state, I'm just a bass player, no fancy chops. I know Genzler users are saying the new amp makes the notes sound bigger, I would have to agree. Also, I like how it sound with my pedal board included. I was never happy using my pedal board with the Demeter. Oh well, just giving my feedback.
