I've heard some good things about Akasaka and Matsutake, and they are both in Alexandria.

Pencil me in. I'll be setting up shop, and afterwards I'll prolly be down for raw fish.

May as well make it a weekend....
I usually go to Auld Shebeen's in Old Town Fairfax for the football games on Sunday. It's been a Sunday tradition for about 4 years now. If anyone's interested in catching the games in relaxed environment, come on down. The address is 3971 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax.

Excellent!

I won't know the exact particulars until Wednesday, but I will definitely be down for sushi, not sure who else will make it yet.

Sunday, wouldn't miss it...ONE of us will leave with a new sig...:ninja:

Will there be little and big carrots?

I'm bringing one of those huge ziplock baggies with those teeeny baby carrots in them...

:ninja:

...ok, seriously, here's what I'm planning on dragging along, for those that are interested:

Zon Sonus Special 5 Fretless
Lakland S55-94
Eden WT-550
Eden D-210MBX (wedge monitor style cab)

I COULD be induced to also drag along these, if anyone REALLY wants to see 'em:

Guitar Factory Semi-Hollow 6 Fretted & Fretless
Eden D410XST (it kills, but it's heavy :spit: )

I will also be hand-delivering Jivesound's first brand-new Roscoe SKB 3006, spalted quilt maple top over spanish cedar body, cocobolo fingerboard, Bart 3 band pre, black hardware. I see a lotta really STOOPID beautiful basses every day, this one is !!!!

Has anyone signed up for munchies or pop or anything like that? Or does Jive not want all that nonsense in his new facility (I don't blame you!).

I haven't volunteered anything (well, other than baby carrots! :D ), but will be happy to pitch in. I say Jive makes a list of "acceptable imbibables" for his shop, and we each volunteer to pick up a certain item off that list....

I'll provide a veggie plate and some drinks (a case of soda, a case of beer). If y'all wanna bring something else, then great. All I ask is that it's not sloppy food. Don't need grease all over the goodies. As far as booze, if you're over 21 and not gonna get blitzed and drive, it's fine by me.

Sometime in the evening, I plan on ordering a pizza or going out for food depending on the crowd that's there.

As far as gear:
There will be a Roland V-Drum, a guitar rig, and microphone so we can jam. I'm also planning on bringing a minidisc to record some of the jams for posterity. If the drumming is lacking, there'll also be a drum machine.
