HE is supposedly a SHE, and I also noticed that most of the threads (s)he started only contain one message from the OP.

There is actually another one started today, about how unuseful 5 strings are, lets see how many pages that hits!!!

EDIT: Actually, I just took the time to take a look at her postings. I can't see that I really think that she's trolling. The more controversial posts were in the "Other/Off Topics" forum in most cases. I guess that's fair game. It's a forum - what else we gonna do here?

I don't reply because once i post because im a quiet shy person by nature and generally say what i have to and am done. Im not a real good conversationalist.
Sorry if my personality isn't acceptable on this forum.
I've never felt welcome here because so many have only smart things to say about my posts.

Well done Lowner for posting, it was the best way to confront all these things that (we) have posted. However, I think that now you HAVE posted, the things will be AT you rather than ABOUT you!!

If this is true and you are sincere, ignore the smarty pants comments and join in on your thread discussion. Surely you have things to add and more questions? :(

Its all good Lowner! I played in churches for years and I learned quite a bit in how churches run.... Anyhow I wouldn't expect most of them (not all) to react in a logical fashion, nowadays a lot of religious people throw away there logic as they gain there "faith". Do not sweat it, since a lot of churches do not pay there musicians there are plenty of vacancies, just hop to another church. Love your signature btw!

This is so weird!! My brother is associate pastor at a small local church and one of their gutiarists plays a guitar that looks something like this:

It does look out of place in church, but that's just appearances. Did you ask him what made your basses "ungodly"?

This sounds like the same kind of stupid legalism that makes long hair on men, rock music, drums, and dancing "ungodly" to some pastors. It's also the same stupid stuff that turns people away from Jesus. Jesus spent most of his time with ungodly people and it was the hypocrite Pharisees/Saducees who criticized him for it.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

Believers (and especially pastors and leaders) need to look past appearances to the inside because this is what God does. If I were a worship pastor I would take a bassist with a BC Rich Warlock who worshipped with his playing and lead a right life over someone who played whatever bass that nimrod thinks is "godly" but played without passion and lived a double life.
