@TG Flatline , you should make a 1590a version of the Grand Tarkin. It's going to be a nice creamy WOOLY fuzz in a tiny package, you could call it The Wookie.

Didn't get to try mine through an amp yet, will have to wait 'til Boxing Day gig.
Played around for an hour through headphones, sounds very cool, pretty versatile tonally, tracking is great, though if you hold a lower note it does some weird things when the note decays.
Not what I intend to do anyway.
T-16 along with Taurus IIIs will make for some very heavy low end fun.

Any thoughts as to where in the pedal order this little gem should go?
My board currently contains a Diamond Fireburst, Keeley 2 knob Comp (always on), DOD 575A Flanger, Boss CE3 Chorus, and DD3 Delay.
Physically it would be simplest to squeeze it in between the Fireburst and the Comp, but having no experience using an Octave pedal I'd like to know generally what it likes to see in front of it.
I have the OD in there solely for guitar currently, which I don't play in this band, but I could probably work it into a patch using the T-16 with a little experimentation.
I love the heck out of that old Flanger, and I foresee some heavy use in conjunction with the T-16.
The chorus and delay get less use, just for certain parts of songs.

The octave (any octave) needs a clean signal to track, so the only suitable things to go between your bass and the octave are tuners, clean boosts and compressors. Anything that messes with the clarity of the signal (filter, modulation, distortion) will mess with the tracking ... so avoid that unless you want to exploit that effect. If you have an filter that has it's own effects loop, you may want to experiment with the T-16 in that loop, thus switching on the two pedals together.

I would say the same. I've tried them before and just wasn't impressed until I head this one. Pricey but since it nails it I'd have to say it's worth it.
I have rehearsal in 10 minutes, so I'll get to try it through an amp and really get an idea of what's up.
Sure fills in the sound nicely, lets you try some accent tones while keeping the low end sounding full.
Gotta be careful not to boost the signal too much compared to purely dry level.

The Wookiee! I like that!! No plans for a 1590a Grand Tarkin currently, space would be very tight indeed, but I am working on something...
As mentioned by others, up near the front of the signal chain is best for analogue octavers IMO. Some people prefer them after a compressor, so give that a try too. I have always found best results putting them first.

Drummer told me today he loved it when I used it (RHCP 'Snow': the twangy chorus).
Really beefed up the tone and I could get twangy at the same time.
The separate level controls are brilliant!
Can't wait to try it with my modified Vox Wah pedal.
Gonna have to do MJ's Billy Jean, singer is up for it.

Edit: I want to get Grand Tarken this year too!
I don't really see how 200 USD for a boutique, handmade, etched pedal is expensive. Who else even does octave clean octave down? 3leaf? Thing is huge and 250 USD. Co-pilot? 150 USD - I haven't heard good things about it, I love my Orbit though. I can't think of anyone else that makes clean octave down pedals
dnt forget the thing is tiny aswell as sounding great! well worth the extra notes guys
