I don't really see how 200 USD for a boutique, handmade, etched pedal is expensive. Who else even does octave clean octave down? 3leaf? Thing is huge and 250 USD. Co-pilot? 150 USD - I haven't heard good things about it, I love my Orbit though. I can't think of anyone else that makes clean octave down pedals

I like the clips I've heard too. Not the reviews I've read though. I don't think I've read anything positive about it from people who have owned it.

Fair enough.
I like it but for me the T16 is the one I'll get this year as it has no features I don#t need.

BTW, the Wonderlove in that video can be had at pretty good prices now that the Deluxe version is out. Something to consider. I have the Wonderlove Deluxe, had the old model before, great pedal to couple with the T-16.

For example, I checked out the exchange from $1500 US (Jule Monique current US price) to Canadian: it becomes $2180
Not good...

On the bright side, I now know what to GAS for next!
I see ClubBass is the Canadian 3Leaf dealer, I'll keep an eye out.
Problem is it's a big pedal, and I do NOT have room on my board for it.
Must do some rearranging.

It's nice to see some Canadian companies getting a good rep.
Empress and Diamond are a couple of others.

I still am GASsing hard for a Monique, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen this year!

I just received the T-16 I bought from Mario (cubanbass - great person to deal with BTW) and must say I am impressed. Very solid octave... tracks phenomenally and the filter is killer.

Edit: the T-16 sounds awesome with other pedals, particularly my GR2.

so .... can anyone compare it to EBS octabass?

Bump for this question. I'm after more of a clean sine octave rather than something synthy, so had the Octabass in my sights, especially since they claim to have improved tracking in the new 'studio edition' version.

The octave (any octave) needs a clean signal to track, so the only suitable things to go between your bass and the octave are tuners, clean boosts and compressors. Anything that messes with the clarity of the signal (filter, modulation, distortion) will mess with the tracking ... so avoid that unless you want to exploit that effect.

This is not always the case, I used to have an OC-2 that tracked just as well with my Supercollider fuzz in front of it. YMMV! I much preferred the sound of the clean octave down being layered with the fuzz rather than the octave down being distorted too.

I just acquired a used COG T-16 and have a question for you guys with the same pedal. Do you lose significant volume as you turn the filter knob from left to right? As I turn the filter clockwise to the sub octave sound, I lose almost ALL volume. I tried it through 3 different amps and have the same problem every time. With each amp I compared the T-16 against my MXR BOD and Boss OC-2, and those sub octaves sound great but the T-16 has the same loss of volume problem to where it's unusable with the filter clockwise of 12 o'clock noon on the dial. Not what I expected at all from reviews and videos.

This volume loss it not noticeable in the demo videos I've seen. Maybe I'll try playing the pedal through the same headphones I listen to the demos through and see if I still hear the volume loss.

I don't have any of those problems. Mine is unity gain at just past noon on the dry...about the same with the octave, and the filter knob doesn't really effect the overall output at all, just gets dirty/clean sounding depending which way you turn it.
I've heard few people mention output drop, but honestly mine is the opposite
