NPD DSM Noisemaker OmniCabSim

ExaltBass, can you tell me what board your using in the pic above? I'm a pedal noob and I'm trying to figure out what board to get. It looks like your board may be a good size for my collection with the ever dangerous (read: expensive) room to spare. Thanks!

It is a Pedaltrain Metro 20. Just a little deeper and wider than some of the other small pedalboards.

However, I do have my bigger boards for when I need some other flavors. ;) (Or dsm noisemaker pedals)

Thanks. I've seen your bigger (double OCSD) board before. I have no plans to go that big. Your smaller board looks about right for my Noble, OCSD, BBBOD, OC-2 and Pitchblack tuner. And maybe something else.

Any issues with hiss out of the OCSD? I’m getting a fair bit wherever gain is set. Same issue whether into a Markbass combo or studio monitors. Also same hiss from XLR and 1/4” out. Disconnected all pedals in front of it with no change. Hit the foot switch and it’s gone. Settings as per pic.

There is some hiss, but it shouldn't be enough to be an issue. It hasnt been noticed by others in my band, and certainly isn't present in the mix. Given how well it does everything else, I've forgiven it's one fault.

When you adjust the high frequencies, the hiss will change too.

Thank you!
I hope next week at the summer namm we can get closer to the 1000 milestone!!!
Booth 1630 !!
I can't believe you haven't hit 1,000 yet. It just means not enough people know about this pedal. They should know. It truly is a game changer! So many people have said they'll never take it off their boards. It works in so many contexts, but truly shines in ampless pedalboard setups, which are becoming more and more common these days, so I'm sure word will spread. Lord knows I'll keep doing my part to spread the good news.

Thanks for your kind words Jacoby..
Yes, i think is a thing of getting to be known. Being in Chile doesn't help much, and good publicity is expensive and hard to get from here. I like the "boutique" situation, tough. I can pay the rent and put food on the table with this small business, but of course i would like to grow bigger and stronger, but i take it with calm.

I know you mentioned earler in the thread that you wanted people to buy from the distributors in their countries to help build more demand from stores (instead of buying directly from you). Is that still your preference?

Well, both ways are good for me..i like direct because the margin is better, but also i like having dealers worldwide who can carry my products and have good business with them.

It went great!
We got Glenn Fricker, John Bohllinger, Lee Anderton, Tim Marks, and many other great people at the booth.

commercially, well nothing has happened yet..we are still in Nashville. Just finished touring the local stores and to be honest, owners didn't even bother to test the pedal..at least we have their emails..
So far, it has been an amazing experience, Nashville is such a wonderful place..i hope we get some business back in Chile in a few days..

Send store owners a link to this thread and they'll be hooked ;)

The OCSD is a "Try it... YOU WILL BUY IT!" kinda product. Hard to explain how much goodness it adds to the way the instrument sits in the mix. They need to get an 'ears on' experience. When I tried my first one at el Diablo in Minneapolis, it took me less than 5 minutes to make that buying decision.
