I think I've found a good match to my One10 after I tried it with GK MB200 micro head. Very good pairing tone wise and super portable set-up.

I use a Gramma pad under my BB2, and Four10, when it is on a wood stage, I like what the Gramma contributes (or more accurately, eliminates). On concrete or hard floor, I generally don't, but perhaps I should. I think it really gives you the cab tone (and by extension, the bass's actual tone in the case of the transparent BB2), having it isolated on anything involving resonance. With the One10, on occasion it's been boomy on a hard, tile reflective floor until elevated, at which time that was resolved.

I know your post was from a few months ago, how did you end up liking your BB2 with the Gramma?

It's great at home with the terrible wood floors. Bigger louder rooms aren't as noticeably better.

So, this happened last Friday night:

With the Kemper, I was JUST able to get by with no bass in the PA. Switched to the Puma 900 the next set (which most definitely could have handled the gig without PA support) and also threw a line over to the PA, just in case things got out of hand. The Big Twin 2 was just fantastic, with both heads.

If only it looked like it had been designed after 1987. That form factor is not terribly fashionable. Sound is what matters though.

There is two formats both available with or without the power section - the other one is a rack mount style.
Yeah, the non-rack mount version looks like some kind of hospital equipment designed to dispense some really powerful drugs (where's my IV?).

I'm thinking about getting a Super Midget. It's looking like more of my gigging will be in the "acoustic" area and a mini-BB2 sounds like it could be the ticket -- especially for gigs that are mostly acoustic bass with some doubling w/electric. Tone quality, not volume is the key. Getting it in a smaller package than my BB2 would be a nice benefit.

I am thinking about a SM as well, both as a portable stand-alone "mini-BB2" and because Alex says it pairs nicely with a BB2, so for me it can fulfill 2 functions... 21 pound mini BB2 and as an expansion of my BF rig for "big" gigs. You have 2 BB2's and so don't need the pairing aspect, but the SM is hardly much bigger than a One10, so how perfect for modenst but not tiny gigs, and for DB. Fits my niche between the One10 and the BB2, and plays well with the BB2.

I'd think so too, but I hate to say, when I haven't ever tried. Although I have never pushed the One10 to the limits, I don't think it does cover average/medium bar gigs on its own... so a cab 6 pound heavier that does would be awesome.
