After buying my 1st 210, I'm leaning strongly in the direction of a 2nd 210. While I love the idea of something like a 3x110 stack, I think 2x210 will be more practical. Getting speakers close to my ear is my main concern, I really like being able in really small clubs to have a speaker right there. Larger shows should also be covered by 4 x10's.

I also have a Mesa 400+ and 800+, so the 2 ohm thing is no problem.

I have to say, the 800+ is so good with this cab, the 400+ might not be around long.

Got to agree about the Mesa 800+ with the 10s. I bought mine as a backup to my tube heads and now it is seriously challenging the tubes for first call.

Wow, is this going to take a weird turn. I, too, have a fEARful 12/6 that I'm selling.

It keeps up with all the drummers I've played live with. I played one studio session with David Prater on drums, and I could feel his bass through two walls. Always an exception.

I am simply posting this to say that I have just returned from a loud gig with the Four 10 and an Ampeg V4BR. Just so wonderful. Used the bass boost switch on the V4B and everything else flat.....mmmmm........

And, on reflection, the other thing I should add to my post above is that never ever do I miss a tweeter with my Four 10. My jazz was sounding remarkably similar to my Ric 4003. Plenty of clank there if I wanted it. The advantage of playing a cab that has been designed by a bass player rather than a boffin.

I've got a stack of 2 one10 cabs. If I wanted to go real loud, would a four10 be a wise choice for modular use...?

I was wondering that If I wanted big, why not go for a six10 but then again, that might just be an overkill, hence the four10.
And I could stack those one10's on top, right?

Yeah I guess I wasn't thinking right. To get 12 ohms the drivers have to be 6 ohms each. So six of them would total 4 ohms indeed.

But the 410 is either 2 ohm or 8 ohm, and the 110 is 8 ohm, so those drivers are 8 ohm. He must have two different models of 10" drivers I'm guessing? A 6 ohm and an 8 ohm? Or the final impedance is just a 'close enough' rating?

Here you go:

My "Six 10". Four 10 with two One 10s on top, the two One 10s are connected together in series making a total of 4 ohms for the full stack, just like the Six 10. Sounds awesome as I have said, but to be honest the Four 10 alone is so powerful that I have yet to use the whole 610 stack. It does provide me with incredible versatility. Those 3 cabs are all you really need to cover everything from a coffee bar to an outdoor stage. As Alex has said, his Six 10 is at least the equal of any 810 and I would have to agree.

If you like the sound of your 2 110s then surely a third 110 should do the trick for louder gigs?

I would like to issue a minor complaint to Alex and the Barefaced staff. You see, I have two BB2s, in order to be modular. Degrees of loudness being 1 cab) damn loud and 2 cabs) try not to stand too close.

My complaint is that I am now a fraud. I never get to plug the second cab in. One solitary BB2 is enough to have the FOH engineers requesting that I reduce stage volume. On an open air stage.

Per the photo, I now use the second BB2 as a stand for the first. Ah, first world problems.

I'm a proud owner of a BB2 for 2 weeks now and I can say that you guys where right, these cabs are amazing. I did 2 outdoor gigs with them so far and a bit of practice at home and I'm really satisfied with my cab. I have plenty of volume and I hear what my bass sound like. I drive it with a Demeter VTBP-201s Pre amp and a QSC PLX 3102 Power Amp.

It sound so good that I play music trough it in my room. I feel like having a whole band besides me . I consider to buy another one in a more or less distant future to use it as a small PA as I plan to do some small gig with just piano, bass and voice.

But I also want to share the struggles I had with the method of payment. I send to Barefaced a international fund transfert, but the guy at my local credit union did not mention the name of Barefaced in the description, so their bank in the UK was not able to link my payment to Barefaced. I have to spend 40$ CAD for the payment that didn't reach it's destination, and I have to pay another 25$ to get my money back . So I ended up paying them with PayPal.

So be really careful to write "Barefaced" in the description of your payment and not just "Electronic device"...

You are right about that... buyers, don't waste your time trying to do a bank transfer... there are fees you might not hear about from your bank, and it's just as likely to fail and be a huge pain while failing as to work... save yourself a headache and use paypal right out of the gate.

My bank transfer from Norway went without a hitch, but I hate that FedEx has my SIX10 sitting in Denmark instead of delivering it earlier than scheduled. It arrived there Friday morning, and they've moved it around the the airport during the weekend. It is supposed to arrive on Tuesday instead of tomorrow before practice. Oh well, pics to follow!

See my post Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club for my saga of trying to pay for my cab. It took months. If (or should I say when) I get another BF cab I'm going straight to PayPal. BF's bank transfer mechanism doesn't work very well. And my bank made it worse.
