Oh, heck yeah! I was even toying with four of them stacked on their side. Of course then I'd need one of those pesky 2 ohm amps, but man oh man would that look and sound impressive!

I am in Moscow. And I easily buy them used from USA from TB class fields. No problem at all as soon as you have a good record and positive feedbacks. My latest one was Mesa D800 which exactly can go down to 2 Ohm.

I don't know who it's being discouraged for? If someone has a One10 and likes it and asks us what to get for louder gigs I tell them to get another One10 - and I've yet to hear from anyone being dissatisfied with taking that route. A pair of One10s will play as loud as most good 4x10" cabs!
I did see one post earlier which may be causing the confusion - someone who already had a Two10 and wanting to get louder and I said that adding a One10 wouldn't make a huge difference. That's true but it's very different to adding a One10 to another One10 - that's an increase of 100% output vs an increase of 50%, so twice as big.
If you want to go a LOT louder you can add three One10s, or a Two10 and One10 and connect them to make a modular Four10 - that would be thunderous!

Four 10 or four One 10s should do anything. Difficult to imagine needing more unless it is a large outdoor gig with no FOH. I have a series lead to wire my two One 10s in parallel with my Four 10 - sounds huge but to be honest I have yet to need the 610 configuration over the Four 10. Incredibly versatile modular options Alex has given us with his tens.You wouldn't, you just wire them series parallel like the Four10 (8 ohm version).

That's because you haven't owned a four10.
The flavor-of-the-month 2 ohm capable amp on our side of the pond is the Mesa D-800. Don't know how available they are over there, but I know I've seen people in Europe (and elsewhere around the world) on TB who have them.

Oh good grief!! With a D800 to boot.. I have the D800, been gassing for an SC, but didn't know if they were a good pairing. Seems everyone in here with a D800 has it paired a variation of the 10's..
Could you tell me how the SC and D800 sound, about how loud?
Loud. Punchy. I'm someone who intentionally sought out the SC because I've always ended up turning tweeters down/off.
I've been saving for a second SC, and I'm almost there, but to be honest...it would just be for show. I've played 5 gigs with this combo so far, and there hasn't been one where the cab showed any signs of distress, nor was lacking for stage volume.

this will make dealing with gas more difficult. I have a fEARful 12/6, no tweeter, and a Fearless F210, about to sell, and turn the tweeter way down, or off on it.So it keeps up with a drummer pretty well, without issue? I don't play metal, so I'm not asking in that context

It keeps up with all the drummers I've played live with. I played one studio session with David Prater on drums, and I could feel his bass through two walls. Always an exception.
