Cool. Who wouldn't be with a new Barefaced cab on the way. I've got one in the works as well. Been down this road before. It's certainly a lesson in patience.
Did the same thing just now. We both ordered on the deadline before the price increase. I'm very pleased they're right on the timeline they predicted when I ordered. Is it any wonder we love Barefaced so much?!
Congrats...I'm still waiting to make learn when to make the first Payment after the deposit on a Big Twin 2 after ordering on Feb 28.

Here's a question I pose to you guys, are you guys more inclined to buy gear that you have to wait for as a general rule, or just for specific things? I seem to be more inclined as a general rule. In addition to Barefaced cabs(I'm waiting on my 2nd BTII), I'm currently playing Kiesel Vader basses(I waited about 8-12 weeks for each one), I just put a deposit on four Dingwalls(3 Canadian, 1 import-gonna be around 18 months), I've got an FEA Labs compressor that I waited a year for, I've bought stuff from Iron Ether, Cog Effects, Arkham Sound, Broughton, and LDS that I've had to wait on. It's all been phenomenal stuff, but some of it I still have and some I don't. I'm gonna ask in some other threads as well. I'm just curious about the mindset when it comes to the gear we buy...
I rarely buy stuff I have to wait for, but am not averse to it. Good things are worth waiting for. Another BF cab I bought took seven weeks... and, though it wasn't SUPPOSED to, it took 4 months to get a Super Bassman amp I'd ordered from Sweetwater, when the original forcast was 2 weeks.

I gotcha'. So your playing the waiting game is more specific. You might wait for something, if you have to, rather than that being the gear you normally go for...

I'm almost positive I had to sign for mine. Honestly, at this point, I usually have everything rerouted to my local FedEx store. Even if I'm off work on a delivery day, I'd rather not sit around all day and wait for those guys. I'm also fairly certain that international overnight deliveries are made before 10:30am, if that helps...
It does! I'll have them send it to my office if it needs a sig. Our FedEx store closed down a few months ago (it was a locally owned store, but was a FedEx center).

Has anyone played a Super Twin with a Mesa Walkabout? If so, is the 300 watts from an amp like the Walkabout enough to get giggable volume?
I haven't played that combination of gear, but I can't imagine that it wouldn't be plenty loud. Although, maybe not stadium loud. I have a Big Twin II, which is the same cab with a horn, and it's ridiculously loud. I am, however, usually pushing 800-1k watts into it most of the time...
I used my walkabout with my SC and it was barely enough. I now gig with an Orange TB1000 and it is plenty loud. I think the only way you will know is to try it.
What band setting? Venue sizes?
That head isn't loud, but some folks gig with the combo version. A ST would clearly stomp all over that.

I LOVE the overall sound of the WA.. My gigs vary. when im on tour it can be 4000-5000, sometimes bigger , When i'm home do normal bar gigs. From 75 to 100 to 200 people and even a wedding or two, jazz bar, country etc . Whatever is paying me money.
All the cabs that I am interested in are NOT available to play in my area..
country, rock, pop. wedding material with ballads. I LOVE a good ballad of the drummer is happening.
I use the same rig on ALL my gigs .
I've been kicking tires for a long time but mostly Picking people's minds the past few months and driving EVERYONE Crazy.. I've probably asked the same question 5 times in different forums. HA
With the Right Amp i think a Super Twin would be my type of cab ..After originally thinking the BB2 was what a would like ..
JUST worried that the Super Twin it might be a little to DARK (4k roll off ) since it doesn't have a Hi Freq driver. But I'm NOT a fan of TWEETERS.
I have a few amps that I Like and i choose which one for different type gigs. Depending on the gig ( the larger ones i need LESS stage volume since I have monitors).
All the cabs that I am interested in are NOT available to play in my area..
