Though these are different "species" of Barefaced cabs, I agree with Erik/Lownote that the Super Midget/One10 combination of modern and vintage sounds magical. I can't imagine needing more volume or better tone than these two cabs produce. Each is the best cab I've ever played through when measured by its small size, light weight, huge output and incredible tone.

I received both cabs from Alex & Co this month. I don't need both of them but as none is available close to me and there is no 30 day eval/return option in the USA, I purchased both to try them out. I've made my decision on which best suits my needs ... but that will be covered in another thread ;)

I predict he'll keep the Super Midget and sell the One10. Something about that full range tone that's addicting, especially since JxBass is used to Fearless cabs. Also, these cabs are SO lightweight and compact that it's not exactly a "chore" to "lug" around the Super Midget!

SM seems reasonable.
It's not that much bigger. It's potentially louder and takes more watts. The Puma Taste and EQ can probably approximate some of the "vintage" voicing of the 110. Tweeter option adds range to the cab uses.

I'm not a Barefaced owner, although I hope to be before too long.
But I've lots of strongly voiced cabinets, as well as building two wonderful fEARful cabinets. The 15/6/1 with true 3-way crossover was my main/only cabinet for several years.

I've gone back and forth on the voiced vs. full-range thing. Theoretically, the FFR thing appeals to me. In the real world, it can be challenging to get a "flat" cabinet to exactly match the tone in my head. When I get there, I may have used all or most of the eq'ing capabilities of the amp. Then how do I eq for the room or the song or whatever?

Also, I love playing different amps, and many/most classic amps were built to sound good with particular cabinet voicings. My SVT-II and Super Bassman 300 sound good but unremarkable through the fEARfuls, and wonderful through some other (technically inferior) cabinets.
I'm rambling a bit, but I guess my point is that I'm coming down more on the "voiced" end of things these days, in both amps and cabinets. I would rather have a wonderful sound out of the box than lots of versatility and the ability to "approximate" the tone I really want.

So right now my favorite cabinet is a heavily voiced Greenboy Dually. Now, If I can score a Six10, I can have two great voiced cabs from the exemplars of un-voiced cabs. :)

I've been coming to a similar conclusion. I haven't found any setup I'm totally happy with, yet.
My current idea is for a "flat" setup with a nice preamp with lots of control -- in the STUDIO.
And a little more voiced cab/simpler amp (though not TOO simple!) for live gigs.

For now I'm using a genz benz shuttle 3.0 combo. I'd like to find the extension cab because it's sounding great with my new fretless carvin bass. But I don't know if I'll find one in the wild :(
