Recommend me a barefaced?
Is there a Super Twin or a Super Twin T around Nashville that's able to be demo'd? Or Kentucky would be even better.
I feel like I've read some reviews that indicate there was practically no highs (sounds like an exaggeration)in these cabs in comparison to more HD cabs like Berganteno (which I think I played one and thought it was a little too hifi to me), but I think there have been a couple revisions since that review. But their website makes the opposite indication, especially in the more neutral voiced cabs. So which is it??
A friend brought over a Two10 (old version before ohm switch) and I compared it with my beloved Ampeg 212AV. I sounded great, but I preferred the clarity of my 212AV. A big note here, we were in a small-ish studio (18x24, sloped 16 ft ceiling) and I bet all that low end would sound insanely good outdoors or in a venue. Honestly, I want a cab that sounds closer to the 212AV but with a little more lows for a low B but maintains clarity and is an honest representation of my pedalboard.
Any thoughts?
Of course adding a tweeter to this and any Barefaced cab gives you more highs. I have a One10T and a One10 and feel without the tweeter
the cabs have plenty of high end. I can't imagine you're being disappointed in any Barefaced cab. Emailing Alex is the next logical step. Best of luck!
