I got my H90 in the mail today. Here is a quick test of the Polyphony polyphonic algorithm.

Any additional comments? Sounded pretty good to me for the most part. Did you try it as a pitchshifter (i.e., to change tunings) rather than just an "organ" mode? Did you play with the different modes (percussive vs. not)?

What about lag on the lower notes. I don't really notice lag on the higher notes but the lower register on my H9 there would be a very slight lag (though much less than on my b3n - can order a pizza while that thing finds the note).

I've been outboarding some of the functions / controls to my Faderfox PC4 for a while. It's a great big array of midi assignable knobs. I have assigned 2 extra knobs to each H9 and it makes them a lot more easier to live with.
The H90 sure is pricey...however it's not much more than the original RRP for a single H9 was at launch. Here in the Uk...it's a lot more expensive. £1060 UKP compared to $800 USD. I have a lot of gear to flip before I can afford a H90!

This test is 100% wet pitch-shifted down 1 octave and simultaneously up 1 octave. So far, I haven't noticed any difference in tracking due to the pitch that is chosen.

The low notes of the H90 in polyphonic mode feel similar to my Mooer Tender. It is not as snappy as my monophonic octave pedals, however, it is less laggy than my H9.

This is legitimately something I haven't tried yet.

I opted to write down all my presets and enter them manually, so I could figure out how to use the desktop software. Which is easy to use.

I know they're not between the H9 and the dot9 pedals (UltraTap, Blackhole, MicroPitch, Tricerachorus). I asked about that, and ended up recreating one for the Blackhole.

Yes, you can import H9 presets using H90 Control.

I think it's safe to assume all of you will be using the H90 with bass here, so it's worth noting that you should be setting the Source Type to Bass for the best tracking results: 7.1. Global — Eventide H90 documentation

And yes, all the pitch tracking algorithms from the H9 will have improved tracking (setting the Source Type appropriately will help).

Yes, you can import H9 presets using H90 Control.

Do they import as a program with just one algo?

For a digital octaver, it sounds good. However , I think the Source Audio C4 / Spectrum sound better.

Yes, the first Preset in the Program will be your H9 Preset, and the 2nd Preset will be a "Thru" Algorithm.

However, it is very easy to map virtually any parameter to MIDI CC's using the MIDI Learn function. There is also list of global MIDI mappings that can be found here: 3. Global Mapping Chart — Eventide H90 documentation

My use case is that I run both bass and guitar through the same board, sometimes switching instruments in the same session. I run lots of things through MIDI with MIDI Designer. So I realize it may not be typical but it would be nice to be able to switch settings remotely without menu diving even if it's not a typical live performance action.

Seems like a fantastic update to the H format, but the cost of it in eu is just insane(around1300€}. So will have to do with my two h9’s, that still sound and work great for me.

I don’t think it matters that much. I also use it for both guitar and bass. I keep it in guitar mode also when I play bass.

Thanks for the explanation. As Les Fret said, you probably don't need to worry about switching the Source Type between guitar and bass since the ranges aren't too far off. My suggestion was for the users who were testing the tracking when using bass guitar.
