So I have a second H9 Max coming today (got it in trade and now I can loophole Eventide! hahahaha you bitches!! I win!!!!). ANYWAY, can you control both with the app or do you have to click bluetooth off of one and connect the other? Does that makes sense?? LOL

You control both. You add one and then add the other. Then, when you go in lists or pedal settings, you choose the one you want.

Yeah---just with two mine has some trouble staying connected sometimes, but I also have other stuff connected to the iPad.

Pre/Post means that the input/output pairs are independent. So you basically have two loops. Each effect can be assigned to a loop. Typically you would have loop 1 pre-distortion and loop 2 post-distortion. Loop 1 is for things like octaver, harmonizer, compressor, maybe eq. Loop 2 is for chorus, delay, reverb, etc. (These are guidelines, not rules.)

I'm not sure this is how I would describe it; it's not really "two loops." It means you can use the second set of inputs/outputs to make a single effects loop, and then select in the preset where the the H9 effect happens.

So you want to set up things as follows:
Instrument --> Input 1
Output 1 --> Other FX Pedals Chain Input
Other FX Pedals Chain Output --> Input 2
Output 2 --> Amp

Now, obviously you could have more FX between Instrument and Input 1, or between Output 2 and your amp. But this is just an example for simplicity.

When you select "Pre" means that the H9 effect will be applied before the "Other FX Pedals." "Post" will apply the effect after, which is why BFunk made the suggestions that he did.

Well, basically since the H9 is smaller there are a lot of things that you cannot do right at your fingertips. On the Factor series you have all of the knobs right there and accessible; on the H9s, you must either use the app or do a menu dive. On the Factor series you have the three footswtiches and you can switch between "bank" and "play" modes, on the H9 there are just the two switches and I don't think there is really a "bank/play" equivalent. On the Factor series there are jacks for both expression and an auxiliary switch. On the H9 there is just the one that is either/or; apparently you can use some fancy wiring to use both at once, or you could use MIDI instead (like I do).

All of that, again, the H9 can do what the Factors did, just in a possibly less convenient way. Also, the Factors can do line level, the H9s can't do that at all I think.

Yes. All hookup is done by Bluetooth, though.

Not sure about a PC but I often plug my H9 into my Mac via USB.

That said, I'll also access the H9 from my iPad or iPhone via bluetooth. They all work well.

One thing about the bluetooth, I can access both of my H9's with my device. I'm not sure if I can connect two H9's via USB at the same time.

Yes, you can hook up the H9 to your PC by USB and make real time edits through the app while playing.

If your PC has bluetooth, you can also connect without the USB.
