I use a At 210 for most gigs, its pretty loud and have a At112 to add to that for louder gigs, I find that enough with Mesa d800. If I was starting fresh again, I might get 2 of the new 210v cabs.

Interestingly, the 210V is 2mm wider than the 212 slim. Looks like very few of the AT cabs line up width-wise. Does that making stacking them tricky? It does look like the Cube 112 is the same width as the 210V. That would probably make a nice stack!

What an incredible cab, super light, clear as day without being sterile, punchy and loud. Certainly moves some air and the ground, the amp bounces around a little bit on top when giving it some hoof.
Got it just in time for rehearsal last week, and will be taking it out on stage this weekend for its first public performance.
There's still that weird mental block when it comes time to move it, due to its "proper" size you always expect it to weigh a tonne
Plus customer service is tops - all queries responded to with no delay.
It's a winner in my book!

Can I ask where you purchased it? I've spoken to John at Sonesta but there's just no stock of these cabs anywhere. I'm particularly interested in the 212 Slim. Congrats on the purchase and have a great gig!

Bass Gear Direct in NSW, Australia. Closest I could find! But shipping still stung me, even for a one-way 3-hour flight. Such is the current climate I guess.

And thanks, this will be the 2nd outing with the new band, should be a decent attendance from what we can gather so looking forward to getting our sound into new ears.

Not yet. I'm following that closely - really want one. I saw an advert on their Facebook page on octobre 24th, asked "how soon?", and GR Bass replied "1 month". So expect end of november.

Not sure they will be in stock at resellers at that time though, maybe they will publish the product pages on their website at the end of november, then you'll have the product page on Thomann's website maybe at the end of december, but maybe with a message "available in 6 weeks"…

I guess you and I still have to be patient, I don't expect them for christmas

I'm coming from a Genzler BA15 + BA212 rig (that's posted for sale here) and am looking for a lighter, taller, easier to fit in tight space rig. A single 212 seems to be the way to go.

Yes, I would love to read a real life comparison between the Barefaced Big Twin and GR Bass AT212 (also called SL212 on Thomann's website, SL for "Super Light").

Both pursue more or less the same objectives (super lightweight, great performances, and wide range / neutral tone, "very honest sound" for Barefaced and "pure tone" for GR Bass), with radically different means (plywood with clever bracing and custom drivers, or carbon fiber).

The AT210 is noticeably better than 2x BF110's. GR is more sensitive, so louder and goes louder before B string causes farting out... that's my experience.

Great forum. I will be getting my at 115 on Tuesday, can not wait. I turned a boutique shop in ct onto these. Audioproct frank Ventresca if anyone is looking for another U.S. reseller. The biggest hurdle with buying these speakers in the states from my experience so far is shipping cost. I paid almost $200 for shipping. If they can solve this problem we will see more resellers. Can not wait to receive and review.

I have not unfortunatly, however I have compared my GR 112 cube(wood) too my old supertwin. The GR wins hands down for me, its still modern and fairly neutral but not as sterile and colorless in the sound as the supertwin, which in band settings makes me hear my own bass much better when playing on the GR. The barefaced went all too deep for me in the lows, just muddys things up, I dont know how the 212 compares but the 112 is so dry, tight and sounds so incredibly precise in all settings, also its the loudest 112 Ive ever tried as most 1x12s and even some 1x15s doesnt have the juice I want. The barefaced was one of the cabs i dislike the most of those I owned, my bass-tone never stood out in the mix, the GRbass sounds pretty neutral but still sounds like a basscab were as the barefaced is more like a big PA speaker, does that make sense? In therms of loudness I would belive the gr 212 and the super-twin too be pretty comparable to eachother. The gr112 seems about as loud as my previous mesa subway 15(which was a powerful cab)

I have tested a GR112 cab, side to side with my Fearless F112 (wich has similar sound goals to Barefaced) and I prefered my F112.
It is true that the GR is more a bass cab than the F112, so you can hear your bass coloured through the GR (coloured in EQ and compression). I was searching for the really true tone of my bass and FX, so I discard GR.
