Official Highway One Club

I used a 13 hole p/g that I had left from a project. It was previously on an AV RI '62 bass and the holes lined up fine on my Highway One body.

Not finished but you get the idea....

I just went to my local shop. I asked them what I needed. They took a HW1 P off the rack and tried some pickguards. They had both All Parts and Fender versions in stock. Both fit perfectly, however the All Parts model was missing the truss rod notch. The tech took it in the back and made a notch with a Dremel. They didn't even charge me. Cool!

Picked up a honey blonde 08 NOS Jazz Highway One a month or so ago. I'm loving this bass. It's fantastic.

Here's some quick pics. Swapped the pickguard for a tort.

When i put a red tort pg on my p, the holes didnt match up, i was out $60 for the 'guard, and couldlnt return it and it looked great. I drilled new holes in the body and made a few mistakes drilling for the pickup cover.
SOOo fun fun fun.. lol
I have a red one too, always wanted to put a black PG on it.

I'm new here and thought I'd join in on the fun. Since this is my first post and this HW1 Jazz was my first bass, I thought it would be appropriate. I think it cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $700-800, but I don't know the exact price since my gf at the time bought it for me. Stock in this photo. It has since gotten a PU upgrade to a set of DiMarzio DP123s. Think a black pg is gonna be next.
