I been gasing for a highwayone (newer model) theresa used blonde white jazz at GC for $449.99
Seems like a great deal. Just not fancying the greasebucket electronics as I dont know exactly what it does.

Nothing mystical.. It's supposed to roll off the highs without adding bass.

You can easily remove it. It consists of one additional resistor + capacitor.

I bought a Hwy One from a TB poster here in May, he had removed the greasebucket tone circuit and PUPs and added the standard circuit and an Area J noiseless pickup set, and I am in love with it.

Its Sunburst with a 5-ply b/w/b/w/b pickguard, just like the one above. It looks so badass, i cant wait for it to start showing wear! <3

This HW-one is my current, and only gigging bass.
I feel it sounds nicer and plays petter than the MIA's ive had recently. This bass also has Wizard 74's pups in it and they sound fantastic.

The PG is just a standard MIA PG. It seems to fit fine.

I actually swapped it for a MM Sub at the start of this year. I missed it so much that i got the black one to replace it.

Here is my Highway 1 P modded a bunch but all fender parts. Original 62 pickup, 62 tort pickguard, fender vintage bridge and covers to match. Put some flats on it and it is wonderful! Cant get enough of the old school vibe!

These Highway 1 / One's are sure the neatest "new" basses out there. They seem to be made to mod, even more than "regular" Fenders.
I have two Fender-Highway-One-bodied basses now and they are just da-bomb.

It looks like most folks are putting tort gurads on the blonde hwy1's. Where are you getting them? I've seen brown and red. I think the brown looks a little nicer.

Cheers. it's a genuine Fender one that seem to be pretty hard to pick up in the UK, so I bought direct from the States.
What do you reckon this will look like with a Black guard on?
