Well, it looks as though I'm eventually going to receive a Highway One Precision from M123...
In the meantime, what's the story on the current pickups?
I know they have gone through changes over the H1 run.
The "Standard Vintage Alnico Split Single-Coil Precision Bass® Pickup" is not listed by that name in any other Precision spec table on the Fender site.
What is it, what's it like and is it (or has it been) used on a different model, or is it unique to the H1?
The Fender support pages are in the middle of a big downgrading and parts lists aren't available.

They can look anwhere from pink to yellow...even beige... in some light. There seems to be a lot of variation as well, A friend has a HW1 tele which is much browner (is there such a word?)
I'm thinking i'm gonna have a Burst J in my future. Put rounds on it, get the flats back on my P, and all will be well.
Yeah, as of now the rounds are going to stay on the J, flats will be for the P. REALLY liking the sound of this J...
Mine looks much "pinker". That one looks more like my 50's MIM P. Very cool variations!
As of the moment, I have an H1 P and an H1 J on backorder that apparently haven't even been built yet.
I find this interesting in view of the constant rumors that have been going around for at least a year that H1s are discontinued.
