Oh now......
Natural Green & White Truck, of course.... It is NOT my original Decade, but after much conversation and planning, I think we figured out the thumb rest deal to eliminate the carpal tunnel problems with right hand position.
Mattygbass provided the "like new" Decade for me to test the theory with, many thanks to him!!! If the LOG bass hadn't been looming, he never would have let it go, I'm sure!! He DID make me promise that if I dont keep it for at least 6 months, it goes back to him.... LOL, I am looking for a new Lakie World Record!!!!

PS - Markus - John got another 2 pics of your bass....still NO pickups!!! argh!

Mine has pickups but the guard still needs to be cut....so a few more days!!! I SHOULD have some pics to post in a day or two from John..

BTW - John also copped a shot of a "std" metallic teal BG body (and a JO behind it) which will really show you what the color looks like and wowsie wowsie!!!!

Anyone know if the US BG will have the P/J option? A month ago I was in one of my favorite music stores and played a used PJ5 by a company that shall remain nameless, and I really dug the versatility. I definitely have to get another Lakland if they do, the necks feel so great!

BTW - do not want to steal too much of John's thunder but I guess Lakland just got in a new shipment of Indo Skylines today so John got to do some "box diving" with Leo...no he did not get anythoung out of the boxes but he DID see some cool stuff!

as for your final comment.....going to CHIs completely is a good thing....no matter the reason!!!

well there's been a talk... a whisper... a secret... An ancient lore that the Lakland LH3 posess a magical power... If you play REAL HARD downstrokes, the A string gets between the bobbins of either pickup which makes it sound noticeably quieter than the others. It may be crucial between frets 0 to 7, or it may not. In case of my friend, it is. In my case, it is not.
Dan did acknowledge that issue.
This is totally irrelevant of the Chis due to the construction, and I have not heard such thing about the Bartolini. Thus the question.


As to switching to the Chis, it's not the pickups, it's the catch: the options would be either carving into the bass to fit the Chis in, and do some pre welding, or sell the bass and have a headache over getting a new CS bass over the pond.
