As I've said ONE MILLION times before, if it was only a fiver.... I really loved my Chi loaded one, just couldn't use it live.
I was just looking at that bass. Anyone else notice the bridge seems to be a bit to far to the right (looking at the picture)? The strings aren't inbetween the pole pieces and the g string looks somewhat close to the edge of the fretboard.
The bass is not flat. If you look at the headstock, you can see the left side of it.
I hope that is the case. I know it is tilted a bit.
Does look awfully nice though. Seems there is a bit of figuring or something on the fretboard. As someone else mentioned the weight makes it even better. I don't remember, was this finish going to be standard (No signature (me likey) or binding)? I thought at one point the ones that came out before were just a limited run. I still am wishing for some new finishes in the Skyline lineup. Can't beat the prices on these though. I don't want anything to happen to that.

I took a brief tour last night and got a few nice pictures from Lakland for you guys to see. It'll be a day or two before I get them up. I'm still in Chicago and won't be home until late tonight. Kirk was a real gentleman to meet with.
In other other good news, my interview with the FAA went great (that's what I came to Chicago for) and I have been officially hired on as an Air Traffic Controller!

It's all still sinking in right now. I just finished up at the FAA about 2 hours ago so I'm totally stoked. It took me 10 months after I applied to get to this point. Almost a year in the making!

The whole gang at Lakland is cool, no doubt. Next time you're coming to town, send up a flare first--I live and work within a couple miles of Lakland.

Actually, I mentioned last week in the thread that I was headed here, no biggie. I live in OKC currently and will be stationed in Corpus Christi, TX once all my training is completed at the Academy in OKC. I put in a request for OKC but didn't get it.
I couldn't wait for the 5 string, so took matters into someone else's hands. See avatar. It's still cooking, but sure to be worth the wait.
It's going to have to fight with the photos of Silver Surfer when it gets here...ug...come on UPS!!

I love your take on the J-clone headstock, and how that urban-hip logo stretched across the whole thing makes it look like some hip-hop graffiti artist tagged the headstock. I hadn't realised it was a wenge inlay, though. that's a very nice touch.
