OUCH!!! I still say that most Skylines kill most American F'ers.
I don't think you're going to get a Marcus tone from the Chis, the top end is too smooth (IMO). But I'd like to hear from Markus, Evan, Grateful, Matty and others with single-coil Chis on this, too.
Decision time guys. I just received my 'other' Glaub today. It is a 2006 burst w/maple board... and is beautiful. So do I put the fretless neck on it, or on my '02 I got from Matty?

I welcome all comments...
Actually, I HAD thought of the fretless on the burst and then putting the maple on the blue......hmmmmm/....
Terry, you should just sell that LPB Glaub to me and make it easy on yourself.![]()
OK Matty, the LPB stays as is and the fretless goes to the burst

crappy vid of my fretless... lay off of me, it's been a long day and I'm not on my game today. It's better than nothing:
Sounds damn good to me, it just increased my GAS for a JO-CS (I still wanted a fretted one, though).
Yeah, I'm wishing I could find the hookup on a JO5CS, but unfortunately, SOMEONE hasn't returned some emails![]()
It's OK though, I'm still in the "allocating" phase, which pretty much means selling off some other non-bass stuff. Regardless, that's what I want next.
then i have to rewire the proto, i think. i'm not sure if i'm going to leave it with the pre or go passive switchable. i like the versatility of the passive tone knob, but i don't like how it affects the sound in the active mode, too. i feel like i'm never getting the true tone of the pups because of that stinkin passive tone knob. it's definitely going to come out and probably a switch put in it's place a la 55-94.
SAWEET!!!!! It's my anniversary, so, ummm, I won't be reporting tonight!!! LOL.
Chromes are quite a bit brighter, but still hold the bottom. Laklands are more of that old school tone.
DON'T TOUCH IT.....I WARNED GUS NOT TO MOD THAT.......the passive tone knob kills...I love mine - so does Markus...
LOL. There are so many Laklands flying around here lately, I can't possibly remember who has what.So....I am relegated to "others" now...I see I see...I forget to return one phone call and you do this to me?????
(he he he!!!)
too smooth???? I think not.....how 'bout you "others"????? what'ch think....????
See any great deals for a JOCS, let me know!yeh yeh...stop talkin' and start buyin'!!!

Cool I'll give them a try. So far Chromes are where its at for me.
PS - I LIKE the idea of an e-mac model....
