I like the necks a little thiner, like my '71.

The width is about the same, but the 2011 is much thicker.

It plays fine though.

When I called about my cracked case the other day the guy told me that if I returned the entire bass + case then I wouldn't see another one until January 2013, so they're sending me just a case.

I have seen basses that are backordered get bumped farther and farther back , see the highway one blow out sale thread, it happend many times.

I original had a wait of 2 weeks and randomly it shipped , 4 months later.

I am keeping mine all stock , but i do want a bezel they just confuse me on which to order.

The back-order dates are just a shot in the dark. RIC provides no delivery estimates to its dealers (I'm pretty sure that's right) so Musiciansfriend is just guessing.
