It may sound clean at home, but as you crank up the volume to gig volume it will surely get real distorted IME.

I cranked my stereo and was rocking out. Sounded great. My P bass sounded great but my Muckelroy bass, man it sounds good through that amp.

Out of interest, do you run active or passive basses, and if the latter, through a stompbox pre or the like? Makes a huge difference, distortion wise, for me.
Also, as Wicked said, distortion might be more apparent at gig-level volumes. It's the main reason Orange added the Clean switch to this iteration of the Terror Bass; provide more clean headroom for people who're not too much into OD tones. Seems you'll like that switch, if you didn't get the Terror for (more or less) distorted tones.

I hear you, it's just that my band is way louder than any stereo and the sound does change dramatically at that volume. At about 10:00 on Gain, and the Clean switch on, with my band I get a really solid kick along with some mild crunch and growl. Anything higher really starts to get crunchy and the kick softens up. YMMV.

I play both, I have a Fender American Professional Precision Bass V that I had a Jazz bridge pick up added and a Brady Muckelroy hand made bass that is active, lucky both basses turned all the way up have the same volume levels so don't think I'll need to pad the Muck. I don't use any stomp boxes or pre amp. I think it's my speakers don't really project the distortion, I had the same thing with my Mesa M6. I had the gain turned way up and it sounded good on the speakers but when I ran through the board it was real distorted. I'll bet the OBC12's will project a more accurate sound. The main band I jam with keeps a pretty low stage sound, that's why I went ahead and got the 212's,easy pack in and out for shows and practice. I was jamming with a band playing Rock, Alt and Grunge and they crank it and don't run through the pa. That's a reason I might keep the Ampeg speakers, not sure until I hear the OBC12 stack. Wish those guy's didn't flake, that was a good band, I love playing STP, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin and all that.

So I sold my Terror Bass and OBC112. They were really great but just didn't end up being what I was after. Partly as I kept comparing it to the AD200 and it kept coming up a little short.
I'd love to try an AD200 some time. Might be expensive for me though...
I was very fortunate to get mine for $500 AUD ($350USD) as it was ex backline for Eagles of Death Metal and blowing power tubes. 2 replaced resistors later and a retube and it has been running strong for years. My OBC810 cost $1,000 ($700 USD) and was Suzie Quattro's cab for her 2015 Aus tour. They both have plenty of nicks in the tolex and 1 or 2 cigatette burns but it is easily the best rig I've owned and will probably be buried with me

Nice stage to play, ND, how's the music scene there? Wife and I are close to moving to SD, probably around Sturgis somewhere so we have a reason to keep the bike. Cruse around the Black Hills, maybe buy another dirtbike and do some exploring.
It's not what it used to be, a lot of the old places aren't having live music anymore, but it's still pretty decent. We do pretty well, and stay as busy as we want. Summertime we're very busy with street dances and weddings, which is where the really good money is at.
Most likely the Little Bass Thing and Bass Butler. Not heard anything about new guitar gear yet which is odd.
Got my OBC12's this week and I like them. Talk about punchy and full, I can see this system replacing a whole pile if equipment. One speaker the amp and my bass for rehearsals, all that together doesn't weigh as much as my practice amp. I'm so looking forward to this summer carrying and playing this lightweight equipment. I'll know for sure this Saturday Feb 1st I'm playing one of the biggest stages/halls in the area. Even though there's and sound company providing the sound and we'll be running through a nice sound system the last time I played that stage I was able to turn up more then all the places we played last summer because of the size of the stage. Guess I'll be having a music Orangy
My office Saturday, was hoping this would be a good chance to crank the new system but the sound guy had the stage sound so low I couldn't hear my bass amp but it sounded good through the monitor. Last time I played that hall we where able to crank it a bit but this sound guy had a different approach. Still had a great time. I was on the riser with the drummer, no where to hide.
I got a chance to try out the Little Bass Thing at my local dealer this past weekend.
It sounds really, really great through an OBC112. I didn't have time to A/B it against the Terror Bass, but I plan on going back this coming weekend to compare the two.

I've never had a rig sound this enormous. I used the OBC210 and a 115 but like the 2x115 better.

Please keep us posted. I'm wondering whether the LBT might make for a good spare in case my Terror Bass explodes onstage or something. I don't run the Terror on full distortion mode, just until it starts compressing a bit and adding some hair, hence the LBT might be an interesting add-on / backup device for my needs.
But I can't readily compare the two. I run the Terror through two OBC112, so if you should get the chance to do your comparison through such a ministack, it would be even more helpful.
