Well I went ahead and done did it. I shouldn't of did it, but it's already done. Orange 4 Stroke on it's way.

I don't know how long all this COVID 19 stuff will last and when the gigs come back, but at $499 I could not pass it up.

I've had a Orange Crush 100 watt combo for a while now but rarely use it as I mostly just play through my pedalboard at home. With the family about to add one more person, it was time to clean up some space. I played through the headphone out on the Orange with the iPad going into the auxiliary port. It worked well enough that I packed away my mixer that I had sitting on top of the amp. For my taste, Orange did a great job with the speaker simulation on the headphone jack. I don't use the distortion channel all that much as a little goes a long way with this amp. I have the blend at 7 with the gain at 7. Just enough for a touch of bite when digging in. Going to get an inexpensive, small nano sized pedalboard to put some pedals on top of the amp so they aren't sliding around. All in all I'm happy with the comfortable little practice space I've made with the Orange as the center piece.

My Little Bass Thing arrived today. Astonishingly loud 500 watts that was vibrating the photo on the wall.

I prefer clean and punchy, and this amp delivers. Q: I didn't find it, but it may be out there - is there a detailed listing of what the frequency range is for the mid-sweep? I'm going by ear - I like to cut a little around 2K to smooth out finger noise.

Yes indeed - I mentioned it in another thread, but having owned the Trace and MAS 2x8 cabs, the GR is my favorite.

I have to be honest, though, I would love to hear this through 2 x OBC112s.

Hi mapleglo. If you remember I originally wanted the 4 Stroke 500 but then went with Terror Bass and I have no regrets whatsoever. I love that amp.

I have no doubt the 500 is a beast, the 300 is shockingly powerful sounding and freaking loud. I know everyone likes to say their amps are loud, but this one took me by surprise.

I'll have more to say later as it is Easter and we need to go check on my mother in law who is alone.

What caught me by surprise was that with the Master at 7:00 there was no sound, with Master set 1 detent up and it is already loud. Adjust the compressor to taste and it is pretty damn loud just for practicing at home. I actually had to lower the volume on my bass or I would have had to turn up my Altec Lansing speakers considerably just to play along to YouTube. Loudest amp I own at just slightly over 7:00 Master volume LOL.

Yeah that volume spike was surprising, but using the volume knob on my bass takes care of that. I should also add I tried it with a G&L M2000 which is a pretty high output bass. But still no other amp I own or have owned ever went from no sound to loud on 1 single detent.

Damn! I would certainly take a swing at them if they were in Germany! I always wanted that model (I have the 210 in 115 format).

I wonder what they sound like? I heard a video comparison between an OBC115 and an OBC410 and I did not like the 410. Way too dark while the 115 has beautiful mids. If 2 of the OBC210 Mini's sound like the 410, then no gas whatsoever.

Yeah, there are cabs for different situations. I had the 115 and traded it for the 210 because the 410 I have was clearer, more defined. The 115 is growly, but can get muddy. The 115 was perfect for my old band (voice, guitar, drums; grungey sound) but was not cutting it in my new one (2 guitars, drums; alternative instrumental).
I would try the OBC210 mini because it seems more portable than the OBC210 in 115 format that I have. But since eons I have been dreaming of the 810.

Is your OBC210 similarly voiced as the OBC410 minus the extra fullness from the extra speakers? I think the OBC210 Mini may be voiced quite differently due to the box dimensions. It would be cool if someone who has one could give their take on it.

For me I like the long form factor as I can stack 2 of them vertically as well as horizontally much like my TC RS210's. I also like that I can take them to shows where I may not want to take my OBC115's due to certain logistics. I'm well aware of the OBC112 and have been curious about them, but I really don't need any cabs right now. The price and the look of the OBC210 Mini does have me thinking though for the reasons stated above.
