Cool. It's def a lot heavier than the gv that's for sure and I like the sound better in the q. That could be the pickups etc tho, I'd love to do an a/b with same electronics in each

Not quite flats and not quite a G-V,my G-bass has been wearing tapes for a few years now

Flats... Hmmm. I have a couple sets laying around. TI Jazz, and Deep Talkin' IIRC. I also have a set of Black Beauties. Anyone ever try a set of those on a PV Gv? But I'm going to give the Flats a go...

Hi everyone. Soon to be a member of the club. Scored this on Reverb today. Supposedly NOS. It's picked up a few dings but shows no real play wear. Has tag and stickers appear to be in tact. No case, which might explain some of the damage. That being said, looking for a case. Does anyone know if this is the same overall dimensions as say the millennium series? Would love to find one of the original form fitting cases but I'm betting that's a tall order.
Arrived today. Setup was OK, but not where I wanted to see it. Too much relief and action was too high. I figured it should be able to do better than that so I got out the tools and went to work. Straightened the neck at tension, lowered B and G strings to the deck on the bridge, adjust neck tilt until I achieved perfect action at the 21st fret, set the other string heights, then put a little relief in the neck. WOW. Plays like a dream. Nice growl. Pictured here along with my G-Bass.

What kind of bridge is used on the GV? I just purchased 2 of these bridges from Derrick at Peavey to use on the Cirrus husks because we couldn't find any ABM black 5 string bridges. Just wondering, thanks.
My GV basses all have ABM bridges with aluminum base plates. I have five of them, cuz I'm that guy.
The ones I got seem to be shorter from front to back as the one on my Cirrus. They look the same except for that.
Why didn't you buy them from ABM ?
They still have them on clearance for $46 each.
