Glad to see someone is here. :) I just did get a new one, and I was hoping to get a number, but have heard nothing back.

I guess not a lot of people own/buy Tobiases (is that the right plural?). Anyway, I've owned a 5 string Killer B in the past. I loved it. It was the one made with mahogany. I actually liked the tone that came out of that one better than the one I got from my bubinga Basic. Both were great, but the Killer B took it, as far as my taste is concerned.

Right now I have my Tobias Toby Pro (the neck thru one) that I got from CapnSandwich. He modded it out with Bartolini Pickups and Preamp...great bass! Perfect action (probably the best in all of my arsenal)...

I'm sure though that I'll end up getting a Killer or a Basic...I really liked them every time I've tried them out!

Thanks for the compliment! Believe it or not, I have not had a chance to play it that much yet - just occasionally at home to some music. I will "debut" for the first time at church in a couple of weeks! Can hardly wait to play it in a band. I'm almost just as much looking forward to getting a number in this club....:hyper:....although I'm beginning to wonder if I ever will...:crying:

Here is my tobias bass.It sounds awesome and asymmetric neck is the best. It has volume,blend and tone pots and tone pot is push/pull to activate the preamp.It has a Bartolini Humbucker on the bridge and a Bartolini jazzbar in neck positions.

I really don't have enough information about the bass if it's model is renegade or paragon and the year of bass, maybe you can help me. It's serial number is 9536 and i'm sure about maple neck and wenge fingerboard but i am not sure about the body is swamp ash or alder. It seems like a renegade but renegades are built with maple fingerboard am i right? Anyone can say what it's?

Awesome! That looks very much like my Paragon, and I've never seen another one except mine. Mine is serial number 9521 and it has natural finish. Other than that, it looks exactly like yours! Mine is swamp ash, so I guess it's most likely yours are too.

Send an e-mail to Gibson customer service and they will probably tell you if it's swamp ash, and when it was made. But probably it was made the same year as mine, 1998.

Yes i looked yours and i think they are same basses, i will send a e-mail to gibson as soon as possible.

I think there's not much of this basses i saw two of them one's your one's mine and they are both in europe, you are from sweden and i'm from turkey :)
