This one was stolen from Toledo Ohio on the 15th of March 2009. If you see her call the cops.

This is her insurance replacement. And what an amazing sounding bass. Do I qualify as a Tobias owner yet?

Is this something new, or am I just behind the curve? I'm shopping for a new bass and was seriously considering a Tobias. Can't find a new one anywhere, so I contacted Gibson via email. Here is the response I received,

"Unfortunately, Tobias models are not in current production. The company is currently in transition, and we do not have products or information available at this time. Thank you for the inquiry."

That's it? Is this the end of Tobias? I hear there's some real problems occurring at Gibson...

Anyone have a clue on the logo on this? #7351. Seems to be missing the red stuff around it. Have this in my pile of parts I might do something with one day, never found a body, but the logo puzzles me. Did any come with just that simple T without anything around it?

can i get a number please?????

You're not alone. I tried getting a number months ago, but there was never a response.... :(

It looks like magneezius has abandoned his own club. He hasn’t checked into this thread since Halloween 2008. He has made a few posts elsewhere since then, but not many.

I don’t personally own a Tobias, but I am a big fan. I think they’re one of the best-looking basses ever made. And actually, my custom bass models a Tobias – you can see a picture in my signature link. I was seriously considering one a while back - see Post #110.

If you guys don’t mind having a guy who doesn’t own a Tobias running this thing, I’ll be happy to. I never liked the way magneezius did it to begin with, requiring a PM for membership. Why make it double the effort to join? Heck past the first few pages, it was difficult to figure out who to PM! It looks like there were lots of folks who posted pictures who never got numbered.

I think the guy running the Pedulla thread has a much better method. All that’s needed is to post a picture, and he adds you to the list – no PMs required. I think that’s the way it should be done from here on out.

I’ll go back through the thread and assign numbers to everyone who didn’t get one and post and updated list later.

Wayne A. Pflughaupt
