You still have the electronicsHey Tune Bass Gurus
Anyone ever heard of this model?
I posted a while back and was seeing if anyone else has any more info on these?
I think it’s early 90’s MIJ.
I still have original sizzlin’ electronics, but I modded her with Nordy dual coils and preamp. Mr Lull hooked everything up. This bass is a Swiss Army Knife of tone now.
Thanks for any info

I replaced it with a U Retro DeluxeRegarding the electronics in these basses: I have multiple Bartolini preamp basses, I have multiple Audere Preamp basses. As well as three or four other types of pres. I would NOT change the active parts of this bass, period. I think it has a distinctive voice. I like the deviation from my usual Bart and Audere Pres. The one other bass I play a lot has a J Retro pre in it, (not a J) a dual Soapbar bass.
I like the J Retro pre but find it a little more difficult to dial in on the fly.
Point is the Tune pre is its own thing, I say leave it alone. It's really pretty darn good.
Nice bassHi, i'm helping my friend to fix the volume pot, but i can not pull off the knob, black plastic knob.. I guess it's twb63 model. I've read someone posted earlier if the knob using a screw from top of shaft to hold the position, just can not open the knob tip.. Please help.. Thanks! Btw, the preamp isn’t individual pots. I would open the control plate to see what you’re dealing with firstHi, i'm helping my friend to fix the volume pot, but i can not pull off the knob, black plastic knob.. I guess it's twb63 model. okay, will try to remove the top cap first..You have to remove the top cap.
There’s a very small nut that holds the knob secure that has to be removed

yes, i have already opened the control plate it seems the vol pots need to be clean up at first , but i dont know if the knob secured w/ a nut and i tried to pull the knob ,end up w/ broken pot..Btw, the preamp isn’t individual pots.
