But I have question. How does one find out if it’s made of solid wood or Ash as the website doesn’t have my color for the bass there? IdEK what model mine is Lol! Not that it makes a difference:thumbsup:

BTW got her yesterday and still trying to figure out some of the nuances. The 3 positions dip switches anyone know how they work? I’ve fiddle around with mine as the as the gain was all the way up and then the 3 dips. I like it!! A lot! But would like to know more. As the Tune folks do supply manuals.
It looks like a 5 string version of mine (different color), and my bass was listed as being made of basswood. So probably what you have. That is a solid wood, but so is ash, so I'm not sure what you were referring to?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Now I know mine has to be Basswood cause it’s extremely light. In the literal sense yes they’re both solid woods but the term Basswood wasn’t mentioned on the Tune website. Thanks again:thumbsup:

Getting the oil treatment today. Also, took my Alembic Collette knobs off my Cheyenne for the 3 band eq knobs.

Yep, my Bass Maniac is the lightest full-scale bass I have. And it's nearly a pound and a half lighter than one of my short scales. Super comfortable bass, great for playing full 3 hour rock sets (back when I used to be able to do that)! The product literature I was reading back in 1989 when I bought mine is where it said it was basswood. I knew little about wood at the time and thought, "that's fitting."
;)

The American variety of Lime, Basswood ,is light. That's not true for European or East Asian varieties, those can be very heavy dense timbers.

Tunes were made from Sen (Asian Ash), it's a light weight timber. Eastern Mahogany is also used.
Hmm, I found some product literature that said mine was made of basswood.
Maybe they used a variety of woods for the gloss-painted basses? I'm not going to remove the neck or strip the finish to find out.

Is there a good place to sell Tune basses? I can’t seem to post in the classifieds here and I’m not sure if the market is good locally here in Denver. It’s such a gorgeous instrument but I’m just not playing it
Reverb is where I've purchased more basses than anywhere else. But the Talk Bass classifieds is the second most purchased place from me. What problem do you have when you try to sell in the TB classifieds?

Should have asked, what kind of bass are you selling?

Wow, this looks nice!
How does she feel & sound? & which string spacing does she have at the bridge? I'm thinking about getting one of these...
