But I have question. How does one find out if it's made of solid wood or Ash as the website doesn't have my color for the bass there? IdEK what model mine is Lol! Not that it makes a difference

BTW got her yesterday and still trying to figure out some of the nuances. The 3 positions dip switches anyone know how they work? I've fiddle around with mine as the as the gain was all the way up and then the 3 dips. I like it!! A lot! But would like to know more. As the Tune folks do supply manuals.

It seems to be made in Japan in the 1990's from Korean parts.

Feels great & sounds great, but to be honest I didn't expect anything else from a Maniac

Almost the complete family; one further Maniac residing in our holiday home…

There are some markings on the Heel just above the body that I can't make out.

First impression, I'd say Japanese.

Not familiar, but it the center ridges on those pickups are any indication, that jazz pickup may be noise canceling on its own.

What serial number, K 2146 is an auction lot ticket.

Korean builds did not have the slanted stainless steel bridge nor did they have the sloped neck pocket.

Yeah, As Kodiak stated. The Sticker on the guitar body is just an old auction number or something. There is a row of digits or letters at the base of the neck but the picture is not clear enough to make them out.

If it follows the pattern on mine there will be 4 numbers and 4 kanji or kana characters.

Thing is it's 100% Japanese.

Yeah, It looks like 4 something at one side and at least four digits on the other. I'll let you know in a few days if i grabbed it.

25 frets. Squared neck pocket. Fairly standard bridge.

I'd say Japanese assembly from Korean parts.

Looks like a koa-wood top and headstock cap to me.

Hey guys, Could I get some help for valuation on my tune zi-iii 4? I believe it's a 1992 Japanese model. All original, just missing the truss rod cover. A couple little nicks but overall it's pretty mint for a 30 year old bass. They're pricey on eBay, like $1,000+. Any insight is appreciated before I list it. Original gig bag too I believe. Thanks.
