I'm glad you like it! And i'd love to see photos of your project if you feel like sharing!I've put a cab in recovery as well, but on a much smaller scale. Nice job resurrecting that monster!

The marble is from amazon, it's typical use is for a table top veneer, but some people do walls/backsplashes/etc. It's very inexpensive.. I think I spent about $20 on the rollPlease tell me about the Marble veneer - and where did you get it ?
Cool!! You must be in the New England area!? There's been so many great cabs on CL recently... lots of potential rehab candidatesGood job! I saw that cab and came close to grabbing it myself. Glad you brought it back from the (un)dead.
It was an unusual situation with the original speakers, they were held in with glue and four grill corners each. I had never seen anything like that, and I removed it all, sanded where appropriate, and drilled holes for the copper screws for the speakers. That looks awesome. The speaker edges look different. Did the covers come off?
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate the support!Absolutely specphomenal!
Haha that's awesome... obviously it can only be played while one wears a togaWow that looks great, like you stole the back line out of Cesars
Thank you so much! I'm glad you approveWhat a great result!!! Imaginative and creative. I like it!!
The surface of the marble veneer is similar to a wallpaper with a varnish... like the whole roll weighs about a pound, and the adhesive is already on the back of the veneer, so once fully applied 'm guessing it adds less than a pound in weight. So 1 pound of veneer plus the 9000 pounds of the cabinet...With the marble veneer it looks like it might weigh a ton, so I'm curious about its actual weight.
Hahaha yes! Nobody knows how it got here... or where it came from... scientists are baffled...Cabhenge![]()
The gold/brass accents and the marble veneer make it look like an amp from the heyday of the Roman Empire ('cause that was clearly a thing - my children's educational programs in the late 1980s proved it).

Thank you so much! I don't know what to do with the head... any suggestions? So will you do a similar theme on some amp head to pair with it? Or do you have some kind of contrasting theme? What will that be?
