Actually, I disagree with this 1000%. I don't think Rush has any idea what the fans want, especially since there has indeed been a sizeable amount of fans saying "no more Sawyer" for YEARS!Why, then, would they put it in the set? Maybe, just maybe, it is because they think it will please the most fans. Hmmmmmmm? I think they might know just a LITTLE bit better than you as to what works (going out on limb here).
Plus, Jacobs's Ladder has been on everyone's wish list for 20 years, and only now are they getting around to playing it. In reality, I don't think Rush takes into account the fans when choosing their set list at all, but this is just conjecture on my part since I am not privy to their decisions. I can only go by my reaction as a true, long-term, 30 year Rush fan to their setlist.
