Much like Keith and Willie, I'm amazed some of the favorites from our youth are still around at all. With all the abuses their human chassis' have been through over the decades this isn't the surprising part.
Voice is fine, if he’s up to recording-at his own pace-hopefully he can continue making records if he wishes.
As a person who has had to put down some of my past favorite physical endeavors because of new limitations, I can understand what he is feeling. I often feel like my body is betraying me, I'm not sure why I am surprised but somehow I thought I would be able to keep on doing whatever I want for as long as I want. I remember my father getting frustrated when he couldn't do the things he used to do, I guess a lot of men think they will be unbreakable forever. I know Ozzy has a ton of money and a family who loves him so he is better off than many people, but I feel bad that he had to make this announcement.
So...32 years after his "No More Tours Tour", he is finally calling it quits. He's definitely earned retirement.
Sweet, beautiful Ozzy... hopefully you can continue singing in the studio and making one-off performances. Would it be too much to ask you for a duets album? Gaze into his cat-like eyes!
Trying to put something together so he doesn't have to travel certainly could have the masses come to him or do live stream concerts. I think we will see him up in front of a mic in time. His voice is still strong so I don't see him totally giving in.
Voice? I never considered Ozzy much of a singer. He's certainly no Justin Tucker (kicker for the Ravens). Use the link and watch it on YouTube.
He is in terrible health. I would have thought he was going to hang it up a while ago. I'm sure he still loves performing, but while the soul might be willing the flesh is weak.
