We all have favorites and non favorites...
There is a lot of metal I don't care for.
I grew up in the 60's and 70's (born 1958) and a lot of metal went in a direction I did not care for that much.
Love some of it, but a lot of it is just not my jam.
Many hair metal bands were just really not something I could learn to like.
The whole decade of the 80's had a lot of popular music I just did not like.
There was some great music in the 80's but some days I had to look pretty hard to find things I liked.
I was very happy when grunge came along and killed off some bands and helped send popular music back in a direction that I was interested in.
