Nice little p bass club we got here
Mine's a little cheaper than some of these though
It's a squier p bass, originally some ugly metallic blue color, refinished in vintage white, pickups replaced with fender original p bass, strung up with labella deep talkin' nylon tapewounds, nut replaced with graphtech (long story lol) and sometimes I stick a little piece of foam under the strings and thump away! great bass overall. my only precision however. I plan on putting a stingray pickup in the bridge position to give me a few more tones and getting another precision to string with rounds for all my grindy tones that i've missed so dearly...(anybody with one in the classifieds i'm interested)
nothing special I just thought the bass looked good in the sun so I took some pics.
can I has a number please?

Here are my two. The Brown one is a Harmony that was my First Bass that I bought from Sears in 1987. It had a clearcoat, but one year I sanded it off and stained it. The "modified" pickguard, I did with a hacksaw. No I wasn't thinking too clearly.
The black one was my main player for a long time. It's of early 90's vintage, and had chrome knobs till I swapped them out with some LP Jr knobs I had from a knockoff that was given to me that I took apart just because I wanted to. I'm going to get a black pearloid PG for that one soon.

Is it really a "Precision" if it's not a Fender or Squier? Isn't the "Precision" name owned by Fender?

I had a squier i did up kinda the same i refinished the headstock white as well
anyways post some pics when you put the stingray pickup in i may do the same thing
It says "P-bass club", not precision bass club. precision bass = fender, P-bass = just about anything with the middle mounted P pickup.
in 1951 when leo fender introduced his new creation to the world he called it the precision bass. because it was a bass with frets enabling the player to play a precisely intonated note every time. that's where the term comes from. duh!

The black poles and pickup screws make it look super stealth.
And I think I like the look of the metal control plate more than the full pickguard.

I posted my new Road Worn a few weeks back. This bass was bought with the intention and for the purpose of having a P bass but with another P p/up. Here it is in the flesh with the Seymour Duncan vintage added, I also added a Hipshot D Tuner for the full on custom bass. My favourite sound is neck p/up full on, bridge at about 95% (about 30 degrees off full turn) which just adds that little bit of definition. Full on it's a Jazzish bass sound, but with more balls, just what I wanted. I'll still mainly use it with just the neck p/up, but when I need that extra zing I've got it there.
Hmm that D tuner is a bit shiny by comparison.
