LB_760FM-B-TB: I have these on my 2010 Fender Am Std P5. They work beautifully with a very low set-up and great intonation.

This just made my plan to have one w/ rounds & one w/ flats a lot cheaper!

Basswood maybe? Tends to be on the light side.

I've about reached my tolerance with the factory rounds, so those will get switched out in a few days after I'm sure the bass is a keeper. I already swapped out the white PG for B/W/B, much better. It seems to be a nice one so far!

Now that you've got two P5's (lucky), are you going to string one w/ flats & one w/ rounds?
That'll be my plan when I eventually get my hands on one of the Squiers coming out.
Nope - flats on both, I don't do rounds at all! The 3TSB/RW one currently has EBMM Group I flats, and the new black and maple is getting the LaBella 1954s to start.
I took the new one to practice today. I just might leave the rounds on for the time being and see how they are after they settle a little. They sit well in the mix but are too zingy for my tastes.
Earlier I stopped into my local music store, and they just got in one of the new Squier P5's (white/tort & maple board).
The verdict? VERY nice. Was it up to par with my Fender Am Std P5? Not quite, but extremely close! Pretty light (around 9 lbs or so), played well, and the fit & finish was of high quality.
The price tag read $299.99.
Must....resist....temptation....!
I had my two boys with me, so I didn't get to spend too much time with it. But I'll try to swing by there again in the next few days & see if I can snap a pic or two to share with you guys if anyone's interested.

I've owned a 2007 Lull P5 Ash / Maple 35" scale.
Great bass, tight and punchy.
2008 Fender P5 Rosewood / Alder 34" scale.
Darker, Deeper, more lows. nice neck.
