#2 My KRAMER XL-8/ Orderd in 1980 was also stolen in 1987 from my house. It was the only thing in the entire house that was taken by whoever broke in . I hate THIEVES especially when I'm the person they choose to thieve from.
#3 My Tobias GROWLER 5 was all me , to this day I don't know what I was thinking at the time , I loved the bass , I sold it so I could buy an engagement ring for a girl, we eventually broke up , And she sold the ring , that I sold my Growler for.
STUPID STUPIDER STUPIDEST thing I think I ever did.

My early (serial #141) Brooklyn made Steinberger and the Alembic Omega I had before that. The Alembic had LED position markers with a dimmer!

A ‘62 Jazz Bass I bought in 1977 for $150. Just couldn’t get with the thin neck(I had been brought up on a Precision). Kept it for a couple of years, traded it for $200 plus a Hofner Club Bass, as I was curious, and didn’t want the cliche’ violin shape. Ended up not liking it, it felt like a toy, and I’m not a short scale person; sold it to a bass student of mine. I regret ditching the Jazz only because of the potential value appreciation factor. I’m not sentimental about that kind of stuff.

Had a Kramer, different model, same metal neck...lost it in a band breakup situation. Loved it, though you could plow a field with that neck dive.

for some reason, I don’t have bass regrets. But I do have guitar regrets. An 80s bc rich mockingbird, a 3-humbucker ibanez destroyer, a prs ce 22, a godin lgx iii

Each had a special magic and sentimental value. Alas, bills…

If there's any justice, the thief ruptured a disc carrying it off.

I'd like my first bass back, a Guild B-301A. I suppose I achieved some karmic balance today when I bought another guy's first bass, a Fender Cowpoke (stand by for NBD).

I still ponder the idea of my Warwick Thumb 6 string that I had. It was the "newer but lamer" model with a buncha ovangkol and wenge, but I liked the feel of it. And the sound. And the hardware. And the smell! I love how nice natural oil basses from Warwick smell and feel while playing.

What I didn't like was how heavy on the shoulder it was and the neck dive. Both are solved by playing sitting and in a classical position but yeah, idk.

Been kinda pondering buying a 6 stringer again or a 5 string, but the prices are kinda out there for a very nice bass. Anywhere between 7-10k.

I'm not feeling it.
