Paul Gray form Slipknot found dead

I think in the long run music is just as important as medicine.

There are fugged up clown mask musicians who stumble upon financial success. There are lousy doctors that don't give a s*** for human life other than their own while on vacation.

OTH, you've got musicians and composers who care for humanity every bit as much as practicing doctors who spend as much or more time researching for cures and new treatment therapies.

Bot are vital for the survival of our species. IMO
.

You read it again. Or explain that.

The early stages of pulmonary disease are often never detected before the serious damage has begun to take it's toll.

But we're not talking about that. We're talking about addiction, and the ways and incentives that one can beat it.

I'm not too concerned about pulmonary disease... if I can get what I need to get done before I croak. On the other hand, if I had a kid on the way, I'd quit in a heartbeat. Because that would be motivation above and beyond keeping in good health for the sake of it.

I've been thinking of having a bumpersticker printed up, like this:

Drugs = Death
It's that simple.

If I were flush, I think I'd buy a couple billboards and put that on 'em.

Like John Kay said, way back when...

I think Drugs=Death is a ridiculous overstatement. Especially considering that the most harmful drugs are available legally.

Also, the first line of that song is "I smoked a lot of grass, and I popped a lot of pills...";)

so over the drugs and death stuff going round and round,...

for anyone thats actually not buying into the argumental side of this thread, does anyone think they will keep slipknot together? I mean pretty much every band member has a side project (some less successful than others) and the last few times they talked about it only being 'the 9 or nothing'...

and to the guy that commented about the solidness and tone of pauls bass, I agree, its why I liked the early stuff so much cos they had many sections that let the bass 'breathe' through the crazy over the top percussion and guitars... like the clip that had behind the scenes of them live i have NO idea how he heard himself cos all I could hear was the mush of guitars/joey and the clicking of his pick lol

nope. that was my first reaction. they are done. even setting aside the family aspect of it, they have to know that the act is wearing thin. the music is getting worse and im sure they have a harder time suiting up for it every day. the interviews id read after the last album was out were not positive ones. i feel like they all love each other as much as a band can, but its time to hang it up.

sell pauls mask to charity or something and end it.

That's not really the point. I think it's stupid to have kids. If you have kids though, I'm not going to judge you on the internet.
you judge people as stupid for having kids, then you say you're not going to judge people for it. go figure.

all i can say to that is good thing your parents were stupid or we wouldn't be having this conversation with you.

This isn't a memorial thread.

Read the title.

Paul Grey of Slipknot found dead.

This just in...."Paul Gray, bassist for Slipknot, is still dead"

In other news, "Drugs can kill you"

Now, here's Jane with the weather......

That's only if you think it's important to have two parents. I personally, do not. And why shouldn't truck drivers and ER surgeons be able to blow coke and die? As long as their pension is paying the bills from the grave.
truck drivers and er surgeons are making a sacrifice for thier families....i hardly see the similarity in someone snorting/shooting up the family fortunes

"Just Say No"? It's not that simple.

BTW, caffeine, aspirin, viagra, etc. are drugs too.

... does anyone think they will keep slipknot together?

Of course they will. They'll just find some new bozo to wear his mask.
