I'll have to look you up next time I visit my family so I can thank you in person for this gem of a thread. It's a masterpiece.

Reminds me of a guy I played with once..... phenomenal songwriter, keyboard player, made a mint doing jingles. Also neurotic as f--k. Had a good thing going with him but he could never decide what music to play and was interested more in getting "famous". Anyway he tossed me out because I wasn't a "loud" enough drummer, and then threw everyone else one by one and dissolved the whole thing.
About a year later I see footage of him on youtube, and he's playing guitar on stage, with videos of himself projected on a screen behind him playing all the other instruments... drums, keys, bass, another guitar. It looked like the Brady bunch with the four way split screen. Some people are just such control freaks that they can't stand their "art" to be trusted to any other human.

The San Diego version of this guy is Scarry Garry, a big dreaming metalhead who used to post long CL ads berating the entire SD scene for not being good enough to find quality musicians. 'Scarry' Garry is the blond guitar player.
Though he apparently got a hint and has toned down his CL posts in the last couple of years. He's been consistently one or two players short of a band for about 5 years now and just can't figure out why but he won't give up the dream...
I feel bad for these guys, it starts with an unending belief and dedication despite all evidence and the endless, tragic setbacks...

He keeps a rotating cadre of 'Deity Girls' dancers that he apparently uses for car washes to make money. I don't think the band performs but on Youtube I saw them do an inappropriate halftime dance at a local Catholic High School.

Reminds me of 92.476% of people I auditioned, or auditioned for, in the Seattle area. "It's not just an Attitude, it's a Lifestyle Choice, Bruh." Except, the Seattle dudes like this guy don't BATHE either. 
I've not been on TB long, but this, by far, is the most intertaning thread ive read here..
I always wonder how egos get that big without success. There's a pretty big disconnect there.

Yeah, good question about this guy's "profession"..... I grew up just north of the Minneapolis, I knew both the big promoters of the scene there, earl root, don dekker and later "swordlord"/Nathan......I even played with earl root (who also had a small label and radio show "root of all evil")for 3 years and I was in quite a few metal bands, So I *was* very active in helping the scene there, I don't know how many times I passed out flyers in the cold of winter to help dekker out for shows at the lab/station 4......
Im still in contact with quite a few musicians in that scene(though I've been gone for 5 years)....im here to say this guy is a total NOBODY!!
I went on his Facebook from here and noticed he claims to be a pro since 85, I call BS on that, I've never seen the guy ever , his picture didn't ring a bell for me and nobody even knows who he is that I talk to, never seen him at a show, so I realm doubt he has any connections whatsoever....
I can't imagine anyone in there right mind working with this clown, and its funny he says "no distortion for bass" and there he is, using terrible, beyond horrible distortion tone....
This guy is a total wannabe loser from what I can tell, and in no way does he represent anything from the once thriving metal scene there, a total discredit to all the hard work bands put in up there...

Where can I get some Deity Girls? Tiffany Belknap clearly has a brilliant future ahead of her as a choreographer. I particularly liked her ideas from 2:10 onward.
Oh, stick around. They crop up from time to time. The problem is that threads with titles like "Read This! Super Funny!", generally aren't, while a humdrum "NBD" thread can turn into a spectacular meltdown. Gotta be alert.
This guy is hilarious! Good thing he's not a control freak.
