Pet Peeves, let's hear them.

I went through that one last summer (2012). Indeed it was gripe-worthy.

Here's a pet peeve you could probably gain:

Start buying alcohol at places that have high rates of people redeeming lottery tickets. After a while, you'll start to have eyeball seizures when you notice the little old lady with the blue hair ahead of you has a huge fistful of them. And to top it off, she'll probably buy one of each scratch ticket while she's at it. Everyone knows you increase your odds if you have twenty different scratch tickets. LOL

Haha larious. I used to work at my father in laws store for a little while when I was unemployed, and this is one thousand percent true! Even worse, is watching the other customers frustrations while they are waiting in line and at glaring at you while little Betty sorts through her tickets.

My father in law wouldn't do this, but lots of other store owners resorted to making lottery ticket customers wait until there's no line for customers buying regular merchandise. They leave, and there is no profit on lottery tickets.

Tis the season for another peeve of mine: marketing devices that combine word with the same meaning or implication into one inane new word. Frightmare? Hallowscream? Real freakin' clever. No matter how much these people get paid to come up with this redundant garbage, it's too much.

But look at the bright side - "chillax" is now an official dictionary word!

Don't ask me "How are you?" unless you are willing to hear both the good and the bad. I hate when people ask me that and I tell them I'm not so good, and they act like I insulted them. Shows you really didn't care about your question in the first place. You only used it as a formality.

All my alcohol purchases are pretty hassle free.

My guitar players are ALWAYS late to practice. I actually tell one of them that we're meeting up a half hour earlier than we actually are, and he's still late:mad::mad::mad:

Dont do that.

1) Your guitarist likely knows what youre doing.

2) Its unprofessional. If you expect professionalism you must also disply such. Tell them when they need to be there and expect them to show up on time.

That's why I suggest going to places that involve a hassle. You're not really living if everything goes smoothly for you all the time.

Well, I dont know about that. I live as fully as anyone else, Im just not buggered by things of little to no consequence.
And extra few minutes in line at the Quick Stop isnt going to throw me into ragemode. Its hardly even a minor annoyance.

Here's another one: All these automated robocalls I get or worse yet - the ones at my Dad's house who is 87, and has to get up for them. Yesterday there were 4 calls regarding medical devices, several political ads, porch covering systems, and steam cleaners. I put him on the donotcall .gov list, but they still keep calling. I did manage to get rid of the medical device company.
