PICKGUARD COLOR FOR NATURAL PRECISION?

Staying within the rules of the thread, I’ll say parchment. Although in real life it’s black by a country mile. Here’s a pic of my 2000 American standard P which has the rare distinction of being something that I bought new. It came with a super bright white pick guard that got swapped to Black shortly after I bought it.

Haven’t looked at every post (don’t know if this was mentioned)... but leather would be a nice choice... this one is for a P Bass Deluxe but the seller has all kinds. There are also Faux leather ones available if you prefer not spending so much. I had one on a Squier ‘51 style P- was nice... didn’t keep the bass so I sold it.

Heres a pic of the, aforementioned, guard.

As you can see by my avatar, I feel black looks by far the best of the many color options available. But I am willing to put this out into the public forum, and only want complete recognition and the obligatory “we’re not worthy” chants and supplications that will undoubtedly begin when my suggestion FINALLY kicks the “old man and horrid” tort to the curb where it belongs...
Carbon Fiber.
If this was a singers’ forum, this is where I would smugly drop the mike, gather up a few hot groupies and exit stage left.
Of course, all y’alls opinion may vary...

As much as I like the engraved leather ( and those anodized aluminum ones with the engraved Paisley design, etc. ) it's just never going to work with NATURAL WOODGRAIN.

Too many distractions, even tort has too much detail to rate, in my estimation.

Heck, even a subtle gold sparkle-flake will probably clash with the woodgrain. :)

MUST BE A SOLID COLOR!

Best thing I have seen here so far is the MINT, though probably some other solid custom color P/G would do just as well ( Seafoam? Daphne Blue? Periwinkle? )
