PICKGUARD COLOR FOR NATURAL PRECISION?

Mint is the only answer.

Given your requirements, my first thoughts were mint or parchment.

I'm a huge tort fan but, on a natural finish bass, I think the tort would look better with a rosewood fretboard.


Woth natural wood, it's been pretty much black, white or tort, but I think gold pearl looks so much better.

This gold pearl looks fantastic! But I notice the bass also has gold hardware, which is probably a requirement with that pickguard. Chrome or black hardware wouldn't look right.

Here's the bass as it came originally (it's a Fender Special Run for Guitar Center). However, I can't keep that maple neck and the ash body away from one another, they have a serious love thing going on.

Actually, every neck on I put on this body sounds great, but the maple neck in the OP makes for a pairing with an especially low action.


In any case, this bass was $275 on Craigslist LA a couple years ago.
