From your first post:
I was actually given the phaser by my old guitarist. He owed me some cash, and just gave me the model that he had. I know they have the new one with the dedicated Bass In (like my AW-3), but I don't use it all that much, not nearly as much as my delay and chorus, so never bothered upgrading it. It sounds fine!

1. Well since the first knob is broken off, and I have no idea where it's set, it's been a little difficult getting a good sound, but I have it now where I can do little solos on it and it sounds fine. Granted the low does drop out a bit, but I don't use it for grooves or anything really yet (if that day comes, I'm gettin' an EHX Bass Microsynth!), just little solo intros and the like, and it works great at that thus far!

2. And basically I mean yeah, the signal drops out naturally when you have the Loooper on, running through the effects, and it was somewhat noticeable before, but now after adding another pedal into the loop, and replacing some of my Monster Cable with the smaller-gauge George L's (cause they're the only ones that'd fit!), I've had to adjust my volume a little bit when playing thru my EFX now, so I probably will get a new Loooper, with 2 or 3 channels and a Master Off/Thru, with maybe a Level/Gain Adjust on it. I got a 1 previously b/c it's all I needed, but now w/ this extra stuff, I need more channels to keep it all clean.

True, but flange+chorus is pretty nuts. I absotively love the "46&2" intro. Back when I had my flanger and Spector 4, I'd turn on both pedals, get out my 1.0 pick, and I'd nail the sound. Killer!

i want a flanger too.. im wondering whether i should get the rocktron hypnotic flange, it actually sounds kind of cool.

the sound on freedom is a phaser is it not? and from what i understand, a chorus and phaser actually produce a very similar sound. ive got the boss ceb-3 and akai intelliphase and yeah, they do produce similar sounds. i actually want to try that tc electronics pitch mod/chorus+flanger or whatever it is.

Hmmm, i'm pretty sure it's a flange. I've been trying to figure out the difference between flange and phaser (they sound really similar to me) and I think the flange is much more lush. Eventually, it would be cool to have a looop in a loooper dedicated to chorus, flange, and phaser. You could put all 3 on at one time!

Actualy that is compleatly false. :rolleyes:

A phaser is baicaly a bandpass filter that is modulated by a LFO. Flange and Chorus are delay baised effects. You take the signal split it - delay it, and mix it in with the original signal. Chorus was created in the stuido originaly and it was called ADT (automatic double tracking), flange was also created in the studio by "placing your thumb on the reel" flange was born out of tape being out of sync. The only thing that seperates flange and chorus is that flange has regeneration, which causes the "jet" effect.

Thats why there are many flange/chorus pedals in 1 box and NO flange/phaser effects... Phase is as different to Flange as a oven is to a microwave...
