So did I. Jaw-dropping.I saw him with Steve HAckett/Genesis Revisited, recently.
Umphrey's McGee! They're a jam band so its not for everyone, but I would definitely classify them as prog rock. Definitely worth a listen at least. Plus Ryan Stasik is an animal!
Yes! The whole “Lamb Lies Down on Broadway” album just came available on Apple Music last year and it’s amazing! I got heavily into Genesis over the last couple of years through a co-worker. I wish they would all do a reunion tour, but Gabriel doesn’t seem to want to play with those guys again, and Phil Collins can’t play drums anymore.
Mike Rutherford is a great unheralded bassist as well. The way he, Phil Collins and Tony Banks would play off of each other was phenomenal.
The Groundhogs were the only truly progressive blues/rock band, and they were great at it!
