The bridge is located where a guitar bridge would be as opposed to where a bass bridge would be (think Gibson SG guitar vs, Gibson EB-3). In order to have a long scale instrument with the bridge plotted there, a twenty four fret neck and headstock large enough to accommodate five a side tuners, it'd have to be fifty two inches long +/-. A Jazz Bass is 46".
Just looked at your original post and saw you added information confirming the estimated length. A 52" bass is a monster instrument, but not in comparison to a DB. If you want something different, you found it! Good job.
